Samsung's VP-HMX10A HD camcorder makes retail premier
Samsung's VP-HMX10A camcorder is now on sale. No, not in North America or Europe, but S.Korea-only at the moment. ???799,000 (about $870) nabs this 720p recorder with 2.7-inch LCD and 4GB of internal flash storage for all your H.264 recordings (SD expansion for more) in a 310-gram barrel. With any luck these will go global on the quick.
Samsung announces VP-HMX10A HD flash camcorder
Samsung's serious about HD camcorders, and is bringing the gear to IFA to prove it. Its new VP-HMX10 HD camcorder records 720p H.264 video with a 10x zoom to an SD (and hopefully, SDHC) flash card. Apparently Samsung is also launching an integrated memory version dubbed the VP-HMX10A, which has 4GB of storage built in, SD expansion, and a 3 second "Quick Start" so you never miss the action.
