Fujitsu adds AT&T 3G to slew of LifeBooks, promises EV-DO in Q2
Evidently Fujitsu's decision to offer its LifeBook U820 convertible mini laptop with integrated 3G has been a raging success; otherwise, we're a bit uncertain as to why it would share the love with four other siblings. Starting right about now, WWAN lovers can order up a LifeBook T5010, T1010, P1630 and / or T2020 with built-in support for AT&T's BroadbandConnect HSUPA network. For those who like to live on the CDMA side of life, the outfit is planning to add EV-DO support in Q2 of this year, though we're not told which carrier will be selected to carry that torch.%Gallery-43872%
Fujitsu keeps the Centrino 2 party going with six new LifeBooks
It looks like the Centrino 2 train just keeps on rolling, and Fujitsu's now hopped on board with six new LifeBooks in tow, including a pair of convertible tablets. That latter duo consists of the enterprise class LifeBook T5010, the successor to Fujitsu's T4220, and the slightly less security minded LifeBook T1010, both of which boast 13.3-inch displays and all the usual Centrino 2-related goodies. On the non-convertible front, Fujitsu has the 15.4-inch LifeBook A6210 (pictured above), the Centrino 2 vPro-supporting LifeBook E8420, and a pair of thin-and-light 14-inchers, the LifeBook S6520 and LifeBook S7220, each of which weigh in around four pounds. From the looks of it, the whole lot is available now, with the exception of the vPro editions of the LifeBook T5010 and LifeBook E8420, which are set to follow in 30 days.
Fujitsu T5010 tablet PC breaks cover at university bookstore
Fujitsu doesn't seem to have gotten official with it just yet but, if the Virginia Tech University bookstore is any indication, it looks like the company is all but set to launch its new T5010 tablet PC. Assuming their specs are on the mark, you can apparently look forward to this one packing a 13.3-inch LED backlit WUXGA display, 2GB of RAM, an unspecified 45nm Core 2 Duo processor, a 120GB hard drive, the usual integrated Intel graphics, and a built-in DVD burner -- plus the standard built-in webcam and fingerprint reader. All that'll set you back $1,999 (including an HP all-in-one printer). While there's no word on an exact release date, the bookstore will apparently have models on display in July, with units available for pick-up in time for the August move-in.[Via GottaBeMobile]
