The Invision is the big news for AT&T today, but there's an unassuming little Sony Ericsson flip that's found its way into widespread availability on the network this week, too. The W350 is a blast from the past for owners of phones like Ericsson's venerable T39 back in the day, offering the rarely-seen traditional flip form factor with a cover that conceals only the keypad -- the screen remains visible at all times. The money feature, though, has to be the cover's shiny music controls, which are offered in a contrasting color to spice things up a bit. You've got a 1.3-megapixel camera hanging out in there, too, and at $29.99 on contract after rebates (except for the Ice Blue version, which is inexplicably free), we can see it as a sleeper hit for anyone who'd projectile vomit at the sight of even one more free clamshell.[Thanks, rapkiid]Read - Electric BlackRead - WhiteRead - Ice Blue

Sources have whispered into our collective ears that the Sony Ericsson W350a will be showing up on AT&T shelves within the next few days -- "Friday at the latest" in at least some locations. Pricing is crazy reasonable for an EDGE phone with at least a half-assed sense of style and functionality, too: $19.99 on contract after rebate, yours in white or black.

Dealer documentation seemingly intended for Rogers dealers has, of course, leaked out onto the interwebs, possibly revealing the entirety of the carrier's third quarter offerings. With the exception of the Bold and KickStart / Pearl 8220, there's nothing terribly mind-blowing in the mix, though the lineup does include a pretty healthy range of goodies from the low end to the reasonably high. Highlights include the Sony Ericsson W350a music flip, a phone we've already seen meandering about in AT&T livery, so it comes as little surprise that we'd see it up north as well; the iPAQ 910c Windows Mobile smartphone from HP; and a refreshed RAZR 2 that'll probably mirror the V9x. All of these chewy technological morsels launch (in theory, anyway) by the end of September, which really only serves to makes us wonder: what's on tap up there for the holiday season?

  • Sony Ericsson W350 coming to AT&T -- eBay says so

One of Sony Ericsson's more creative designs of recent memory, the W350 might be a whole lot closer to grubby American paws than many might have expected. Up for auction on eBay at the moment is a "lightly used" W350a variant in white featuring a silver highlight on the music controls; that in itself isn't particularly interesting, until you take a gander at the display and see a nice little AT&T logo silkscreened on the bezel. The listing's page doesn't give any clue as to when non-rich people might be able to get a subsidized W350 from the AT&T store in their neck of the woods, other than to state the obvious point that the "phone has not been released in the US yet, and you will not find this beautiful color anywhere else." So if you're really bent out of shape about taking delivery of this thing, you might want to dive in on the auction -- you never know if it's going to go the way of AT&T's ill-fated K850.[Thanks, Bernard]
