If you live in or commute through so-called "dead zones" for mobile service, then let us introduce you to the latest swath of signal boosters from Wi-Ex, each which are set to be unveiled at CES 2012. The first two -- compatible with the 800MHz and 1900MHz frequency bands -- include the zBoost zForce, an in-car amplification rig that'll retail for $99 (or $149 with the gooseneck adapter), and the zBoost SOHO Xtreme, which covers up to 5500 square feet and will set you back $549. Both products are ready for immediate availability. Finally, set for release in Q2 2012 is the zBoost 4G-V, which is designed specifically for Verizon's LTE network -- although, its price has yet to be announced. If you need a little boost in your life, be sure to check the gallery below and full PR after the break.

Just in case you haven't heard, we're letting you in on a little secret here: Engadget German is the official blog of IFA 2009, so we figured we'd give you a small taste of what's going down in Deutschland in case you've yet to make it over. Our well-traveled compatriots have already dug up a few gems at the show, with the most notable being the Dension Wi Drive. Put simply, this system enables users with HDD-based entertainment systems in their vehicles to access files and playlists whilst at home. 'Course, it seems as if this would be all the more helpful done in reverse, but hey, you've got to start somewhere. There's also a few new headphones from the good folks at Sennheiser, and a new take on the old range booster from Wi-Ex. Have a look through the read links below, and just in case you're wondering -- yes, you can expect English translations directly on their site for the best IFA has to offer going forward.Read - Dension Wi DriveRead - New Sennheiser headphonesRead - Wi-Ex zBoostRead - Creative Inspire S2Read - New Audio-Technica earbudsRead - Alien-inspired Altec Lansing speakersRead - Hello Kitty YP-U5 audio player

For all those needing home and business cellular signal to the degree at which you can make and receive calls, the Wi-Ex zBoost may be your ticket. We're no fans of those cheap cellphone booster stickers, and make no mistake, this is way more legit -- from all appearances, the zBoost is the cheapest in-home cellular repeater yet at under $100. We're just as miffed as any of you when we have grand ol' signal strength that drops to unmanageable levels as soon as we set foot inside our homes or places of business. Bummer. Anyway, the zBoost may be the inexpensive way to cure that problem. Since the zBoost works in the 850MHz and 1900MHz bands, your favorite mobile carrier in the U.S. is supported with the notable exception of Nextel's iDEN network.
