Not even an Emmy award could save 'The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance' from Netflix's axe.
The 'Dark Crystal' tactics game arrives on February 4th
If you've been craving another Netflix-linked video game, you'll have to wait a little bit longer. BonusXP and En Masse have revealed that The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics will debut on February 4th, 2020 -- so much for that 2019 target. It might be worth the extra wait if you felt the Netflix series wasn't enough, though. The title for PS4, Switch, Xbox One, Mac and PC has you playing both through "and beyond" the story from the show, including its main characters (such as Aughra and Deet).

The creators of 'The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance' just loved throwing puppets Liz Shannon Miller, The Verge Netflix's Dark Crystal prequel series debuted this week, offering fans another look at the world created by Jim Henson and Frank Oz. The Verge caught up with executive producers Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews for a behind-the-scenes interview ahead of the streaming debut. There's plenty of detail on the cast, the crew, the tech and "Olympic-level puppet-throwing."
What's on TV this week: 'Control'
This week Remedy returns with its first new game since Quantum Break, the creepy supernatural shooter Control. Out now on PS4, PC and Xbox One, it has a Metacritic rating of 81 and some intriguing trailers. In less interactive entertainment, Netflix's new Dark Crystal series debuts this week with a star-studded cast, while Amazon Prime has a fantasy series of its own with Carnival Row. On TV, college football is all over the scheduled before the NFL season kicks off, and Stand By Me is available on 4K Blu-ray. Netflix's 'Dark Crystal' series adds Sigourney Weaver and more big names
The cast for Netflix's Dark Crystal prequel series was already stacked, and now the streaming giant has revealed more big names who you'll hear in Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance when it arrives August 30th. Sigourney Weaver will play a character named The Myth-Speaker, while Lena Headey joins fellow Game of Thrones alumni Nathalie Emmanuel and Natalie Dormer as she takes on the role of Maudra Fara.

Netflix has finally offered Dark Crystal fans a deeper look at its prequel series beyond some still images. The gorgeous first trailer for The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance arrived Thursday, and the show seems to faithfully recreate Thra while building on upon the movie's depiction of the mysterious world.
