Ah yes, the MMORPG guild. Sometimes it's incredibly fun, sometimes it's incredibly frustrating. And we cover the gamut right here in our weekly column featuring the best guild drama, downings, and recruiting messages from around Azeroth. To see your guild here next week, drop a quick email to wowguildwatch@gmail.com. We especially love to hear about the drama-- did your guild break up recently (or did you break up a guild recently)? Have any ninjas to report (or are you one)? Let us know, and, as always, anonymity will be granted upon request.

Time once again for our weekly look at who's up (in arms), who's downed (by raids), and who's out (as in, out there looking for new players). Yep, it's GuildWatch, and just like the unraveling tale of Mark "Maf54" Foley, you're kind of disgusted but you can't bear to look away.If you want your guild to appear here (or, perhaps, a guild that has just /gkicked you for a really stupid reason), drop an email to wowguildwatch@gmail.com, and then bask in the glory and honor that comes along with showing up on a column about player guilds in the biggest MMORPG ever. Sure, it won't get you free coffee at Starbucks, but it will win you the respect (and/or scorn) of geeks everywhere. Click the link to continue.

Sorry GuildWatch is running a little late this evening-- my guild, Gothic Bunnies on Thunderhorn-H (see above) came *this* close to finishing off Rajaxx this evening (we're casual, you hardcore raiders-- no comments from the peanut gallery, please). The good news is that while sites like NotAddicted give you theoretical guild drama, we've got the real thing-- and we're even making some ourselves. If you want your guild (or tips about a guild you know) to show up here on Tuesdays, drop us a line at wowguildwatch@gmail.com. You're the ones out there fighting, downing, and recruiting-- we just want to report it. This week's GW is... well, you know the rest.

This week on GuildWatch, our weekly look at the latest and greatest in guild happenings, we've got more reader-submitted downings than we've ever had. What did Nefarian ever do to you guys anyway? Oh, that's right, he took over Blackrock Spire, his sister is masquerading as a human, he sent Rend Blackhand to kill you, and he corrupted Vaelestrasz before your very eyes. Ok, then, go ahead and kill him.And don't forget, if you've got info to add in here, drop us a quick note at wowguildwatch@gmail.com with your news, realm, and faction. We'll take it all-- drama (send pics!), downings (ditto), or recruiting news. Check GW after the link.

This is the beginning of a new feature here on WOW Insider. Every Tuesday, we'll put the spotlight on the latest and greatest guilds in Azeroth-- who's downing who, who's merging with who, who's recruiting what, and any great guild drama that can't be missed. I hereby bring the first GuildWatch to order!DRAMA: Ascension (Runetotem-H) has disbanded, supposedly because of transfers offrealm. Also, not really drama, but Seekers of Alexstraza (Steamwheedle Cartel-H) is holding an RP BBQ this Sunday at 6pm! Be there for the free drinks!DOWNED: Big Tymers (Azjol-Nerub-H) downed Anubisath Defender, Gankers Inc (Bleeding Hollow-H) killed Vael after a close call Vent shutdown, and Legion of KorKron (Emerald Dream-H) downed Kurinaxx and Rajaxx on their first attempt at AQ20! Flames of Retribution (Kargath-H) killed Razorgore. Crimson Raiders (Silver Hand-A) downed Nefarian, but had a pally ninja the Tear from them. Bummer!RECRUITING: Thorns (Aegwynn), Dead on Contact (Andorhal), Kopi (Khaz'goroth) wants everything but warriors and shaman, Deception of Fate (Gnomeregan-H) wants morning players, Raging Primates (BlackRock-H), Thrust (Dark Iron-H) wants shamans, Team Envy (Khadagar-H) wants a DPS warrior (good luck), and Four Lights (Malfurion-A) wants peeps. Stout and Bitter (Emerald Dream-A) wants Aussies and Kiwis. Ascended (Hakkar-A) wants 55-60s (who doesn't?), and Shadow Ravens (Kargath-A) are "reforming their ranks." Dark Pact (Kul Tiras-H) (check out their banner logo above) wants a hunter, a druid, and a rogue. quiXiotic (Thunderhorn-H) wants to run MC. The Mighty (Sentinels-A) want "mercenaries" (crazy RPers). Finally, Oblivion (Cenarius-H) is looking to fill out ranks for MC.Did we miss your guild? Of course we did, this is the first time we've done this. If you want to be featured in next week's GuildWatch, drop us an email at wowguildwatch@gmail.com. Make sure to include (very important) your guild's name, what server you're on, whether you're playing Horde or Alliance, and make sure to tell us why we should include you. If you're talking about Drama, the more info you can give us the better, and you can be anonymous if you want. If you are announcing a Downed, we'd love it if you included a screenshot link, and be sure to tell us if anything interesting happened (including loot). And if you're recruiting and have somewhere you want players to sign up, make sure to tell us exactly the address to link to. That's it! See you next week!

  • Metareview - Silent Hill (the movie)

You've read our take on Silent Hill, now it's time to sum up what the film critics are saying. Currently, Metacritic has posted 14 reviews, which average out to a 29/100. For the record, this is the last time we will ever — EVER — get our hopes up for a movie adaptation of a video game.Choice quotes: Chicago Sun-Times (38/100) - "My damn brain lit up too much." [Roger Ebert] The New York Times (10/100) - "[Wraps] up like the outrageously overwrought fantasy of a French movie nerd obsessed with horror ... who has been given obscene amounts of money to adapt a video game." [Nathan Lee] San Francisco Chronicle (0/100) - "Nobody gets naked, which on second thought may be a good thing — because when a movie features people getting their skin ripped from their bodies, it pretty much kills the mood." [Peter Hartlaub]
