Who fancies playing some games? Okay, okay. Calm down. There's enough to go around. No, really. There actually is. SCEE has laid on a sumptuous spread of content for today's PSN Store update. Between Dark Mist, the Overlord demo, PixelJunk Monsters: Encore and myriad trailers and themes, there's something for everyone. Here's the full release list:Playable content Dark Mist full game (£4.99/€7.99) C&C Red Alert PS1 game for PS3/PSP (£3.49/€4.99) WipEout Pure full PSP game (£14.99/€19.99) Overlord demo (free) Add-on content PixelJunk Monsters: Encore expansion (£1.99/€2.99) Everybody's Golf: World Tour "Alex" character (£0.69/€0.99) Everybody's Golf: World Tour "Gloria" character (£0.69/€0.99) Surprised? So are we. Pleasantly so, we might add. SCEE are actually on their way to providing a decent PSN Store for their territory. We'd go so far as to say we are impressed. Now there's something we never thought we'd say ...

The post-GTA IV drought continues this week. Thankfully, next week will fare a lot better, with the release of Haze and, in America, SingStar. If you're looking for something to tide you over until then, you're out of luck. Unless you're a huge fan of Narnia, that is. Here's the release list:US Games Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian EU GamesNo new releasesAsian GamesNo new releasesRelease dates are subject to change, so be sure to check with your local retailer before trying to get your hands on the above game. SCEE has (mostly) kept their promise today with the second update of the week. While the Bourne Conspiracy demo and echochrome trailer seem to be missing, everything else has made it intact. With ten videos to watch from PlayStation Day (weighing in at a total of almost 3.4GB) there's plenty of stuff to watch from the show. Here's the full release list:Playable content Race Driver GRID demo (free) Add-on content Guitar Hero III "Def Leppard" track pack (£3.99/€4.99) Guitar Hero III "Muse" track pack (£3.99/€4.99) Army of Two "SSC Challenge" game pack (£3.99/€4.99) Trailers Mirror's Edge Gameplay trailer (free) PlayStation Day "Introduction: Kaz Hirai" video (free) PlayStation Day "Play has no limitations" video (free) PlayStation Day "Play is hiding and waiting" video (free) PlayStation Day "Play is full throttle" video (free) PlayStation Day "Play is a thousand stories" video (free) PlayStation Day "Play brings us together" video (free) PlayStation Day "Play is moving hips, lips" video (free) PlayStation Day "Play is unexplored" video (free) PlayStation Day "Summary: Play" video (free) PlayStation Day Compilation Trailer (free) Be sure to check out that Mirror's Edge gameplay footage in all its HD glory. It really is stunning looking. If you're not particularly interested in PlayStation Day then there's not a lot here for you, unless you're a Guitar Hero III or Army of Two fan.

We hope you're not done playing GTA IV yet, because otherwise you could have a boring week ahead of you. The only release to be found worldwide is Call of Duty 4: GOTY Edition. We highly suspect you already have COD4, but if you don't you may as well take this opportunity to pick it up. We did name it Game Of The Year, after all. Calm down, calm down. The waiting is finally over. The game you've all been waiting for finally gets unleashed onto the public this week. That's right, it's Iron Man week. What's that? Grand Theft who? Never heard of it. If that's your thing, though, you can pick it up on Tuesday. After you've seen Iron Man, that is. Here's the full release list:US Games Grand Theft Auto IV [Get a $10 gift card at Circuit City] Grand Theft Auto IV Special Edition Iron Man EU Games Grand Theft Auto IV Grand Theft Auto IV Special Edition Iron Man Asian GamesNo new releasesThat's pretty much it, this week. Two games worldwide, but what more do you need? GTA IV should very well tide you over until the next major release. Depending on what you're excited for that's either Haze or Metal Gear Solid 4. With both of these games due within the next month and a half, now really is a great time to own a PS3.

As if to make up for the lack of a PC-Store update last week SCEE have released a nice amount of content this week, particularly for retro fans. flOw for PSP finally sees its European release, as does the Chains of Olympus demo. Plus a couple of decent PS1 games. Here's the full release list: flOw for PSP (£4.99/€7.99) (Review) Bishi Bashi Special PS1 game (£3.49/€4.99) Command & Conquer PS1 game (£3.49/€4.99) God of War: Chains of Olympus demo (free) (Review)

There's a pleasing amount of new content made available today on the European PlayStation Store. It's not very often we get to say that, but this week is surprisingly good. We'll sit back for a couple more weeks before throwing SCEE a "We Forgive You!" party, but for now we're placated. Here's the full release list, in a new handy-dandy format:Playable content Rocketmen: Axis of Evil demo (free) (Review) Bishi Bashi Special PS1 game (£3.49/€4.99 ) Command & Conquer PS1 game (£3.49/€4.99 ) FlOw PSP version (£4.99/€7.99 ) (Review) God of War: Chains of Olympus demo for PSP (free) (Review) Add-on content Call of Duty 4 Variety Map Pack (£6.99/€9.99) Trailers Resistance 2 announcement trailer (free) Warhawk: Operation Broken Mirror trailer (free) Two Viking trailers (free) Three Timeshift "FPS Differently" trailers (free) Themes and wallpapers Metal Gear Solid 4 "Sneak Out" PS3 theme (free) Dark Sector wallpaper (free) Seven Motorstorm wallpapers (free) Two PS1 games? Yes please. Good ones, too. This is more like what we expected from the service. No more Reel Fishing, thanks. We're also pleased to see the Resistance 2 trailer going up today, alongside the American release. That and the Variety Map Pack start to make us wonder whether SCEE really is serious about fixing their problems with the European Store. Keep it up.

The second of this week's PSN Store updates is already up. While it's a little slimmer than the one earlier this week everything on the list below is worth grabbing. Especially as it's mostly all free. The only thing that isn't free is the Warhawk expansion, but we're sure you won't mind shelling out a few measly quid for that. Here's the full release list for today: Metal Gear Online public Beta (free) Warhawk: Operation Broken Mirror expansion pack (£3.99/€5.99) LAIR "Deadly Dragons" add-on (free) Grand Theft Auto 4 "Everyone's a rat" trailer (free) Don't forget that while the MGO Beta client is available now, the servers won't be open for business until April 21st. In the meantime you can sign up for a Konami ID and make sure you're ready to start playing as soon as possible. We know the next four days are going to be going pretty slowly for you, so why don't you try out Operation Broken Mirror to take your mind off it?

Yawn. Nothing to see here. This is what they call the "calm before the storm." Even if the storm is three weeks away, publishers seem to be steering clear of April in pretty much its entirety. Having said that, Europe can look forward to even more catching up next week when Time Crisis 4 gets its long-overdue launch. Here's the full release list:US GamesNo new releasesEU Games History Channel: Battle for the Pacific Soldier of Fortune: Payback (review) Asian GamesNo new releasesThere's nothing more to say, really. As we head into April (which promises to be exciting for many reasons) we see that this week's releases don't strike us as a particularly good start to the month. Europe plays catch-up with the rest of the world and Japan gets a game we'll most likely never see in the West. As for America, there's nothing new for you this week. Here's the full release list:US GamesNo new releasesEU Games Condemned 2 Dark Sector (free comic book if you preorder) Asian Games Pro Yakyuu Spirits 5 Your PS3 is region free, so go ahead and import any games you see above that catch your eye. Hardcore baseball fans, we're looking at you. Release dates are constantly subject to change, so be sure to check before you scare away your loved ones with any sudden movements.

What a shame! We were all ready to call off the dogs and tell Sony that "all is forgiven" and then the Store update gets delayed an entire day due to "technical difficulties." Still, better late than never - and today's update is excellent. It's great to see us receiving content (UT3 maps) on the same day as those in the US. Here's the full release list: Gran Turismo 5: Prologue full game (£24.99/€39.99) Reel Fishing PS1 game (£3.49/€4.99) Eye of Judgment "Set 2" expansion pack (£6.99/€9.99) Unreal Tournament 3 map pack (free) Turok map pack (£1.99) UEFA Euro 2008 demo (free) Gran Turismo 5: Prologue TV trailer (free) Dark Sector "Veggie Abuse" Trailer (free) 4 Dark Sector webisodes (free) Everybody's Golf: World Tour trailer (free) Eye of Judgment Set 2 trailer (free) Dynasty Warriors 6 "Q & A" trailer (free) Reel Fishing? Really? So much for "quality over quantity" - at the moment we have neither of those things. Sony, please refrain from dumping bad PS1 games nobody liked on the PSN Store and instead stick to delivering us real (not reel) classics like Klonoa and Blood Omen. We know they're coming, so where are they?Bittersweet feelings aside, this is a good update and we can only hope things continue like this. Except for the delay. Anyone grabbing GT5:P off the Store today, or did you pick it up in store?

More games! While the US doesn't get Gran Turismo 5: Prologue for another few weeks, they have Dark Sector as a consolation prize. What's the consolation prize for that? Here's the full release list: US Games Dark Sector [Free digital comic at amazon.com] Viking: Battle for Asgard [Circuit City is offering a free $10 gift card with purchase.] EU Games Gran Turismo 5: Prologue Everybody's Golf: World Tour Viking: Battle for Asgard 40GB PS3 + GT5: Prologue Asian Games Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga The Golden Compass Fancy playing Gran Turismo 5: Prologue this week, Americans? Import it. You might encounter some issues, should any DLC be made available, but you'll be able to play it a whole week early. Happy PAIN day! Those of you who have been anticipating PAIN all these weeks months will no doubt be overjoyed to finally see it hit the PSN Store -- and with so many add-on packs too! Those of you who don't care for PAIN might be a bit disappointed because that's pretty much all their is. Just keep watching that HD Motorstorm 2 trailer over and over. Here's the full release list: PAIN full game (£4.99) PAIN "Muffy" add-on (£0.69) PAIN "Cookie" add-on (£0.69) PAIN "Hung-Lo" add-on (£0.69) PAIN "Santa" add-on (£0.69) PAIN "Scurv Dogg" add-on (£0.69) PAIN "Ginger" add-on (£0.69) PAIN "Fun with Explosives" add-on (free) Stranglehold map pack (£9.99) MotorStorm 2 trailer (free) This certainly matches up to the "roadmap" that was leaked, but we'll reserve judgment further until a couple more weeks have gone by. It's nice to see that Europe is now up to date with PAIN content -- hopefully SCEE can keep us in sync from now on so that we don't have to suffer from any more ridiculous delays. If you're wondering why we haven't mentioned the Stranglehold pack, it's because it's ridiculously expensive and not worth our time. We're ignoring it and suggest you should too.

Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 makes its worldwide debut this week. Wait, really? That one snuck up on us, especially considering it's a sequel to a big hit of 2007. We would've thought there'd have been a little more coverage. Does that bode well for the title? No idea. This isn't a review! Here's the full release list: US Games Condemned 2: Bloodshot Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds Karaoke Revolution: American Idol Encore Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 Limited Edition Sega Superstar Tennis EU Games Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 Sega Superstar Tennis Asian Games Armored Core: For Answer Army of Two Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions of WWII Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 Not a bad week all around, really. Europe has relatively few releases, compared to the other two territories. Fear not, however, this will be rectified next week when Europeans get a Gran Turismo 5: Prologue and Everybody's Golf World Tour double whammy. Condemned 2 finally gets its release this week in the US after its short delay. That's why you're seeing it hit the list for the second week in a row. We're not insane, honest.Your PS3 is region free, so go ahead and import anything in the above list. Release dates are constantly in a state of flux, so be sure to check with your local store before heading out.

Here's the full release list: God of War: Chain of Olympus trailer (free) Ape Quest trailer (free) Warriors Orochi wallpaper 2 (free) Content continues to trickle onto the PSP store and we're left wondering when we'll start seeing more worthwhile updates. Oh dear. Someone at SCEE needs to reconsider their line of work. This week's update is another travesty and includes nothing more than a trailer, theme and some (old) Guitar Hero 3 DLC. Here's the full release list: Guitar Hero III "Modern Metal" song pack (£3.99/€5.99) Elefunk trailer (free) PixelJunk Monsters theme (free) What is there to say? This Guitar Hero III track pack is a week old, as usual. America will be receiving a St. Patrick's Day track pack later today which, no doubt, Europe will get next week. Y'know. After Saint Patrick's Day. As for the lack of PAIN or any of the other promised games which America has had for months now, we're growing tired of saying the same thing every week. Come on SCEE, this is ridiculous.

Condemned 2 leads the pack this week with an otherwise mediocre showing across the board. PES 2008 finally makes its way across the pond (to an elated reception, no doubt) and Japan keeps on trying to keep up with the Joneses with Skate. Only five months after the rest of the world.
