Any hero worth their cape can tell you that Atlas Park is generally considered to be one of, if not the, biggest hangout on many City of Heroes servers. Normally the statue near Ms. Liberty is a fairly laid-back spot for heroes to hang out and hold costume contests, but it truly gets to be fun when event monsters spawn there unexpectedly! Today's One Shots was captured by Ryan F. who was hanging out on Atlas' knee during the recent anniversary events and managed to capture this image of heroes poised and ready to deal with the next wave of nasties. Sunday is a popular day for people to log in and get some MMO time. So while you're out adventuring, why not take a snap of your favorite game? We'd love to see what you're up to. Just email your screenshots to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your name, the name of the game, and a brief description of what's going on. We'll post it out here and give you credit for sending it in!%Gallery-9798%

Resurgmal of Dread Pirates on Blackrock writes, "I was indulging in the old-time sport of climbing, along with some of the rest of the raid, in some down time previous to another Yogg attempt. (We finally downed him. YAY!) A Death Knight left this dramatic backdrop of pure evil, so naturally I had to grab a screenshot or two." Quick, Yogg, attack him while he's frozen for massive damage! Why, no, I haven't been playing the Crystal Chronicles games all weekend. Why do you ask? Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We'd love to see them on Around Azeroth! Ah, Warhammer Online. Your vast array of silly graphical oddities have given us several hours worth of amusement - or at least several One Shots full of wacky glitches. Today's example was sent in to us by Richard R. who managed to catch this Warhammer Online bit of weirdness while playing. He writes in: Apparently if you mount up on a wall, in a specific angle, your mount will have you stand on the side of the wall. As my character would say: Gravity iz fer Stuntiez! If you're in the mood to take silly screenshots, we're in the mood to show them off! Just email them to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your name and the game the image is from. After a wipe in Naxxramas, Meshenko of Proudmoore zoned back in to find some of his raid members suffering from the familiar facial texture bug. He snapped this picture of a deformed human warlock looting Gothik the Harvester's corpse after they downed the boss. Equally interesting to me is the motley crew in the background. From left to right, we have someone zonked out on Pygmy Oils, a female draenei in the most awkward spellcasting position ever, and what appears to be a warrior being devoured by a water elemental. Hey, people have to find some way to pass the time while the officers look over the DKP.Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? The Argent Crusade ought to consider keeping a close eye on our submitter Carlos. For a holy paladin, he seems to be harboring an awful lot of evil-goat-demon inside his soul. Actually, Carlos writes that his frightening shadow was caused by some clever positioning behind a mountain goat in Howling Fjord. I wonder if Anakin Skywalker can make the same excuse?Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? • It's a brawl in five new Champions Online screens

A batch of five new screens have been released by Cryptic for Champions Online, and some of them really pack a punch! Okay, so we may have started this with a cheesy joke, but at least that's out of the way. Now we can get to the serious stuff, like pointing out the fact that every single one of these screenshots holds a unique hero. The depth of the character creator is no secret, but it's always nice to have proof as well.Something else we've noticed is that it looks like the game's visuals are pretty much finalized, meaning the slight Champions Online release date nudge will be aiding development elsewhere -- most likely content, bugs and an overall smoothing out. Check out all the newest screens in our gallery!%Gallery-17946%

The parties have been all over the place in MMOs lately; lots of anniversaries and birthdays! This particular image was taken from the recent parties in Lord of the Rings Online by RandUlfr from the Laurelin server. Apparently there were far too many party-goers for the occasion, which caused a wee bit of a problem, as RandUlfr reports in: [This is] a picture taken outside the West-gate of Bree. All those people are, infact, stuck there, as am I. The Birthday Event caused the server to overload and crash. Ah, the wonder of a birthday! Must have spilled some of that Dwarven ale on the servers. Why not join the fun and send in your own screenshots to be featured here on One Shots? We can always use more to pick from. Just email them to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your name, the game its from, and whatever other information you'd like to give us. Not exactly his idea of a party, but when you're an undead cow, you kind of have to take what you can get." Come on now, tauren make the best death knights. The very first screens from Lord of the Rings Online's upcoming free update are some of the best yet, featuring the Water Wheels and a new -- and enormous -- enemy fighting various player characters. We're really digging the monster design here, and highly recommend that you check it our for yourself to see what we're talking about. Our guess is that the Water Wheels is a new instance. Can we just say that the whole wood and stone architecture is really awesome? It certainly adds some new variety to Turbine's envisioning of Middle-earth, not that there wasn't any to begin with -- making the achievement that much more impressive. There's sure to be more screens and potentially concept art in the days to come, so keep your eyes peeled for it! And while you're doing that be sure to be on the lookout for our forthcoming Volume 2: Book 8 developer tour, too.%Gallery-64288%

There's nothing quite as dreary as setting out on a sunny day, only to have the sky open up on you. Of course, when you're talking about MMOs like World of Warcraft, you have the option of just turning your in-game weather effects down - or up, if you're into rain. This gloomy, overcast One Shots comes to us today from regular contributor Johanis, who caught this poor gnome sitting alone in the rain. Sending along a pic of ToughOne...a Level 18 Warrior in World of Warcraft who was out in Westfall enjoying a few moments by a fire when a suddenly downpour of rain ruined his day. I'm sure we can all relate to having a day ruined by the weather. Somehow we can't feel too bad for him when he's running around with bunny ears on. Have you taken a picturesque - or not so picturesque - shot of your character that you'd like to show off? If so, we'd love to see it. Feel free to tell us about the character, why you picked the area, or whatever you'd like to add in! Send those in to oneshots AT massively DOT com, and we'll post it out here for everyone to check out.%Gallery-9798%

Our submitter James isn't sure what caused this cross-faction druid party in the Dalaran fountain, but I suspect it might have something to do with yesterday's news about the new druid cat and bear forms. "There were mages for lighting and a priest casting mass dispel around the druid in the middle of the fountain," he writes. "It was a glorious sight, throwing old racial prejudice out the window and dancing!" Silly priest. We don't get to see Vanguard: Saga of Heroes as much as we'd like to, but we appreciate the players there sending in beautiful images of their journeys. Today's peaceful image from Vanguard was sent in to us by Paksao from the guild Aequinox on the Seradan server. He tells us about his love of his home game: This is a shot of SOE's Vanguard, one of the most underestimated games I've had the fortune of playing. Look at the depth of the view, the things in the background. That's hot. One person said this game is like a unknown gem of the MMORPG world. I agree. We know there are oodles of you out there reading, and we're betting that at least some of you are playing/have played MMOs - otherwise, why would you be here, eh? One Shots needs your screens, dear readers! So while you're out playing, or digging through your hard drive, grab some screenshots for us. Send them to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com along with your name, server, and a brief description of what's in the screenshot. (Please, turn your UI off if possible.) There's no consensus about the existence of an afterlife in WoW. From the number of ghostly undead in the game I'd wager there's a good possibility that you just end up hanging around in a non-corporeal form, unless the Lich King gets to you first. Nevertheless, it looks like Beefywife of <Legion of Fire> on Antonidas is getting sucked into some form of post-death experience. Whether she's being beamed up to heaven or sucked down to hell depends on your perspective. She writes that this picture was taken after she was knocked off her mount, fell to her death, and ended up stuck in the mountain beneath the Temple of Storms.Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? We love easter eggs and other strange little things from various video games. Today's One Shots showing one off from EVE Online is pretty fun - and thankfully more OK with the GMs than some of the can art we've had sent in to us. This particular shot was sent in to us by Nicholas J, who also sent the following note: [Here's] a little easter egg that you can occasionally find in a few places. Of course, if you want to see the obvious statement, you'll have to click on through to the full-size image to see it; it just doesn't work when the image is small. If you've found something strange, unusual, or just easter-eggish on your recent journeys in MMOdom, we'd love to see a screenshot. Hey, remember back in vanilla WoW when warlocks were the most powerful, feared, and complained-about-on-the-forums of all the classes? Synar of <High Solstice> on Stormrage does, and he's ready to bring happy days back again by taking out the warlock's main archrival class and gear competitor. However, his attack on the mage trainers at the Wizard's Sanctum does not appear to have had the desired effect. "Sadly, his show of protest went unnoticed and the Mages went along with their business of staring blankly into their bookshelves," he wrote.Do you have any unusual, beautiful or interesting World of Warcraft images that are just collecting dust in your screenshots folder? This screenshot really encapsulates a whole bunch of ugly from Lord of the Rings Online. It certainly looks like today's One Shots submitter, Vengar, had one heck of a battle on his hands - or head, as the case may be! He writes in to explain this wild screenshot: Late one night while in Lord of the Rings Online my champion Vengar from Nimrodel server got the 'go protect the stranded/embattled npc' type quest. So I ran off, thinking he would be good protection for anyone....well I was wrong. The ground started to shake, and before I knew it, three very mad giants were stomping the guy I was supposed to be protecting into the ground. They turned on me and evidently thought it would be funny to just squish my head into ooze. For a couple [of] nights, I had dreams about human head-ooze loving giants chasing me.Screens like this certainly show off why Lord of the Rings Online remains a steady favorite for people to send in! Do you have a great screenshot of your character in battle, or wandering across beautiful landscapes? If so, pack it up and send it to us here at oneshots AT massively.com along with your name and what game it's from. Stories of daring are always welcome, too!%Gallery-9798%

So, it turns out that a Sen'jin Fetish is not only a perverse attraction to large troll tusks, but also a non-combat pet obtainable through the Argent Tournament. Our submitter Keltai of <Overclocked> on Stormrage happens to have recently bought the latter. With a little help from an acquaintance, a Pet Biscuit and some Pygmy Oils, he's managed to turn his Fetish into an ill-fitting mask. His newly acquired Twisted Visage with Blood Draining enchant also adds to the voodoo effect. The dress still looks a little too druidic, though. While we can't say if these glitches from Warhammer Online are recent or older ones that people saved in their screenshot folders to share later, they are consistently pretty strange. Today's One Shots submission from Phantomboner (no, we didn't make that up) is definitely right up there in terms of Warhammer Online weirdness. He writes in: Saw this in the Inevitable City earlier. Looks like this guy couldn't quite decide which class to pick, so he made a hybrid, guess hes still deciding which class to have as his torso. Either that or a zealot, a marauder and the invisible woman had a love child. For all that they are kind of strange, glitches can be kind of fun to look at - if nothing more, it makes you stop and wonder what the heck caused it! "While meditating upon a recent adventure in EPL, I was reminded as to why it is a good idea to do these things in the safety of an inn," he wrote. City of Heroes continues to be a popular place to be, especially with the recent anniversary events. Today's One Shots comes to us from Ryan F, and was taken of Jurassik going nuts in the Hollows during the recent event. Ryan wrote in to explain a bit further: Because there were sooooo many people in the same small area it seems a lot of them didn't show up in the screenshots (battle fraction). In some images barely a fourth of the battle against the rikti, zombies, or Giant Monsters can be seen. At times I would not have been surprised to find out there was more than 100 heroes fighting around us. If you're playing a game we haven't highlighted here recently, we'd love to see your screenshots. It's always interesting to check in on lands we don't often see!
