Christmas has finally arrived, and Lafawnduh has an important message for all of you. Get along, work together, and don't be greedy, or the murlocs will take over. Well, that's not actually what he meant in this World of Warcraft Machinima, but it's close enough. Ultimate Snowdown recently won 3rd place in the Warcraftmovies Christmas Spirit Contest. When a human and an elf are on the hunt for the perfect Christmas tree, they discover that they're after the same one. Rather than calmly resolve the dispute, they resort to a snowball fight that ... snowballs out of control. As their friends get involved, there is an epic power struggle. In the end, though, they both got what they deserved.Remember the murlocs, and have a Cinemassively Christmas![Via Warcraftmovies.com]

This Machinima was so nice that I had to share it twice. World of Warcraft fans will appreciate this tale of greed and pie, narrated by the deliciously sinister Associate Professor Evil. As three friends head to a party, they encounter many obstacles, including a violent reindeer, and an expansion requirement that they weren't quite prepared for ... It is during the commercial break that the video truly shines, as Oxhorn does his best late night TV impression. If only "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like This Raid Isn't Going to Happen" were a real song!Yesterday, I noted that my future husband, Hat, wasn't featured anywhere in the film, but after watching a second time, I noticed that Oxhorn is holding him during the commercial break! If you like pecan pie, Savage Garden, or critiquing films without actually making them, then this is the Machinima for you. As always, you can read the full script on his blog, or check out the high quality version.

When three friends decide to check out a party, they have no idea what they're in for. Oxhorn has released a Christmas Special like no other. It contains all of the elements of a quality tale, including an epic adventure, l33t-speak, a heroic battle against a reindeer, and pie! There's even a hilarious commercial break that mocks those cheesy late night CD commercials on TV.My only complaint is that my future husband, Hat, is not only absent, but insulted in this machinima. However, Oxhorn does take light jabs at whiners like me at the end, so point taken. You can read the full script on his blog, or check out the high quality version of this Special on Stage6.[Via Warcraftmovies.com]Previously on Moviewatch...

This Moviewatch is technically guild-related, but highlights plenty of holiday loot in-game. To the tune of a cheesy Mariah Carey song, each Bad Company guild member hops through a portal that transforms them into a gnome. Then, in true Christmas spirit, they go raiding. This video isn't going to blow you away with special effects or sweeping camera angles, but it does make me feel warm and fuzzy. Has there been a Winter Veil machinima that made you feel that way?[Via Warcraftmovies.com]Previously on Moviewatch...

When two teens decide to hack into the Blackbird Human Computer War Network, they have no idea what they're in for. Meanwhile, in Azeroth, the government finds out that they're under attack. Against the advice of an underling, the head of state declares war. This is obvious nod to the 1983 classic, "War Games," but it's still quite enjoyable. Beckman Movie Productions made the Machinima for the GameRiot "Dawn of the Blackbird Machinima Contest." The submission deadline is today and you can vote for your favorite movie until the 27th.[Via Warcraftmovies.com]Previously on Moviewatch...

When an enterprising goblin miner, Patchie, accidentally releases an orc that has been frozen for years, they have a lot of catching up to do. Starting at patch 1.05, they take us on a storytelling journey, seen through the eyes of the major characters. Along the way, there are epic battles, potion selling, and a friend using his fortune to open a ... zoo? As Patchie and the orc arrive at their destination, with golden piggy in hand, the orc has an opportunity to meet his hero, Thrall. After becoming disillusioned and temporarily losing his way, he sets off to be a hero in his own right. However, everything is not as it seems! The AFK PL@YERS, a Taiwanese machinima team, created The Patchie Chronicles to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of WoW launching in Taiwan. Most viewers will have to pay close attention, as it is narrated in Chinese, but subtitled in English.[Via Warcraftmovies.com]Previously on Moviewatch...

WarcraftMovies held a contest, The Fabled Few, last month. Among the winners was an outstanding piece by Dopefish, a World of Warcraft Machinimator. The film, "Among Fables and Men," weaves it's magic through the use of images and song. No text, voiceovers, or footage were involved, which makes it quite impressive!Machiniplex, a collaborative effort between expert Machinimators Jason Choi, Ricky Grove, and Ingrid Moon, will be holding a screening of "Among Fables and Men" on Sunday, December 16th, at 1pm PST. These semi-regular meetups are small gatherings of Machinima enthusiasts and professionals alike. A question and answer session with the film's director will take place on Skype, followed by a showing of his film, which he will be remastering the audio for. If you are interested in attending, you can RSVP on the Facebook page for the event.

WoW! It's December already. Not only are you putting decorations out in real life, but you're also collecting holiday loot in your favorite MMOs. Apparently Gabriel Moran didn't get the memo about the exclusivity clause in the WarcraftMovies Christmas Spirit contest. His loss is your gain!Gabriel invited his guildmates along for the ride in this Machinima homage to Bing Crosby's version of "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas." He mixed framed screenshots with scenes of gnomes singing and reindeer flying, among other things. The credits provide a special treat, as Cole and the chipmunks sing their way into our hearts. I can't wait to see more Christmas machinima!

When an orc wakes up with a horrible hangover and no booze in sight, he heads for the video store. The clerk begins showing him a series of movies, some hits and some misses. This Machinima has it all - guns, anime girls, tentacles, music, and murlocs.BaronSoosdon has done it again! With voice acting by Nyhm & Olibith, and creative use of World of Warcraft and Unreal Tournament 2004, it's no surprise that this movie won first prize in the comedy category of the Fabled Few contest. My personal favorite mini-clip was "Unlimited Escapism - Liberation." What was your favorite moment?

Well, our friends over at WarcraftMovies.com have done it again; this time recreating our favorite MMO with the old-school stylings of Final Fantasy! Watch and enjoy and bask in the retrospective nostalgia. For those that happen to have no idea what the Final Fantasy series is, let me enlighten you. The series began in Japan in 1987 with a turn-based cartridge game for the original Nintendo Entertainment System, developed by Square. The series is still alive and kicking, having released Final Fantasy 12 just last fall. The classic menu style, music, and Chocobo reference are amazingly funny. I love this video! [Thanks, Kakashisan on Mal'Ganis]
