After researching more than 60 gaming mice, testing 12 with the help of four panelists, and playing over 50 hours of Overwatch with them, we've concluded the Razer DeathAdder Elite is the best gaming mouse for most people. Our panel testers preferred the DeathAdder Elite for its simplicity and its comfort through extended gaming sessions, which isn't surprising considering previous models of the DeathAdder have been our picks for years.

Black Friday's coming up fast and we're already seeing a lot of deals going live, so here's what we expect: Get that shopping list ready soon. Your favorite deal, the one that says it'll go live on Friday? There's a decent chance it'll be available earlier. We've already seen some of the most interesting deals going live early, a fair few from Best Buy jumping the gun a week ago to beat other retailers. That TV/instant pot/whatever you wanted sold out already? Don't buy your backup option just yet. Not only have we seen some great deals go live already, but we've seen sold out products pop back in stock. It's not uncommon for retailers to put up great deals on Black Friday and once they sell out for the day, put up additional stock on Cyber Monday. Update your billing and shipping info. This is the most boring part of shopping, but you'll be really aggravated with yourself if you do grab that one thing you wanted and it sells out because you had to update all of your info. Here are some Black Friday deals we're seeing pop up already:

  • Razer DeathAdder adds 4G optical sensor, available now for $69

Razer's had a good thing going with its DeathAdder gaming mouse. So much so, that it's left the peripheral largely untouched, varying only its color over the years and adding a left-handed edition. Which makes today's refresh notable, since it brings a major update to the mouse's optical sensor -- now 4G -- that should improve accuracy with a resolution maxing out at 6,400 dpi. The unit still retains the same form and function as the original, although a textured, rubber grip has been added to the sides for increased comfort. And in keeping with tradition, gamers can also sync this mouse with the company's Synapse 2.0 software to access firmware updates, as well as settings for button mapping across titles. It's available now for $69 / €69, so hit up the source below to get your order set.

  • Razer trots out Transformers 3 Edition DeathAdder, Vespula and laptop case

After what we're guessing was a fruitful tie-up with Tron, the fine folks at Razer are back at a similar well; this time, the company's dishing out a limited run of gear that's been splashed with color and branding from the upcoming Michael Bay train wreck blockbuster, Transformers 3. Outside of being doused with red, yellow, silver and purple paint, the special edition DeathAdder mice ($69.99 a pop) are identical to the version already on the market. If that's just not enough, there's also a dual-sided Vespula mouse mat ($44.99) to commemorate the film, not to mention a foursome of colored laptop sleeves ($49.99 each) that'll make public your infatuation. Curiously absent? A handwritten letter of congratulations from Shia LaBeouf.

  • Keepin' it real fake: Imouse MI-092 is one dull Razer ripoff

KIRFing isn't just for cellphones, friends. Anything with good design is in danger of being knocked off, and Razer sent word that it too has fallen victim. Meet the Imouse MI-092, a peripheral that couldn't look any more like the Razer DeathAdder if it came in a DeathAdder box -- which it pretty much does, as the company copied the packaging design, too. Imouse even ripped off the Razer website, but did at least come up with its own charming slogan, which translates to "Mine, I'm the boss." Sadly, not even Tony Danza can get any respect from these guys.

  • Razer trumpets leftie DeathAdder, southpaws raise the roof with just their left hand

Say it with us, southpaws: "finally!" Razer is finally taking a stand for the under-appreciated (and vastly underserved) left-hand gamer market, and while we would've given these guys even more credit for developing an all-new mouse for lefties, we'll take a redesigned DeathAdder any day of the week. In essence, the DeathAdder Left Hand Edition is the exact same mouse that debuted last September, but in left hand form. The best part? Razer's not charging a dime more for this version than the obviously more viable right handed model. Hey, guitar makers -- care to take a hint? %Gallery-88349%

  • Razer refreshed DeathAdder gaming mouse is more accurate, still hates southpaws

Zanily enough, nearly three full years have passed since Razer first introduced what would eventually become one of its best-selling gaming mice, so it goes without saying that the aging DeathAdder was due for an update. For those looking for a clean cut, straight-up gaming mouse to use between the hours of 10PM and 5:30AM, this revamped critter might just fit the bill. The biggest change is the inclusion of a 3.5G 3500dpi infrared sensor and a tangle-free braided cable, and fans of the existing design will greatly appreciate the fact that it's essentially the same (externally, of course). It's still not ambidextrous in nature (sorry, lefties), but you will find on-the-fly sensitivity adjustments, five independently programmable buttons and all the blue glow your retinas can handle. It should be available to order momentarily for $59.99 (US) / €59.99 (Europe).%Gallery-73948% Show full PR text RAZER REVAMPS DEATHADDER GAMING MOUSE WITH WORLD'S MOST PRECISE INFRARED TRACKING SENSORMajor upgrades under the hood for one of Razer's best-selling gaming miceCarlsbad, Calif. – September 24, 2009 – Razer™, the world's leading manufacturer of high-end precision gaming and lifestyle peripherals, is pleased to announce the long awaited update to the Razer DeathAdder™. • Razer's DeathAdder gaming mouse reviewed

So you've thrown down some major cabbage and gotten yourself a serious gaming PC for the new year, and now you want a mouse just as fitting -- well look no further than Razer's DeathAdder, say the guys over at ExtremeTech. They took the sinisterly-named peripheral for a spin, all the while pitting it against their previous fav, the Logitech G5. Well after some grueling rounds in the pits, the DeathAdder eked out a tie with the champ, garnering a 10/10 rating and the lofty distinction of being one of the best mice they have ever used; Team ExTech loved everything about the slithery rodent, from the feel of the rubberized shell to the perfectly placed thumb buttons to the fully customizable drivers. So based on the review, it seems that any gamer even remotely serious about their ranking should be considering, if not knocking down the doors to add this glowing glory to their arsenal -- if they can deal with "only" five buttons, that is.

  • Razer's DeathAdder gaming mouse

While we're slightly uncomfortable with the idea of wrapping our hands around something called a "death adder" on a day-to-day basis, peripheral-maker Razer seems to think there's enough gamers in touch with their dark sides to make its latest corded mouse a hit. Helping the DeathAdder earn its sinister moniker is the so-called 3G infrared sensor at the heart of the mouse, boasting an impressive 1800 dpi resolution, as well as Razer's trademark 1000 Hz "Ultrapolling" technology and a barely there 1ms response time. To keep all that precision under control, Razer's outfitted the mouse with rubber-coated buttons up top and some smooth-sliding Teflon feet on the underside -- lefties, however, are out of luck, as this one's tailor made for right-handed use. Look for the DeathAdder to hit just in time for the holidays at a not-unreasonable price of $59.99.[Via Randomly Accessed, thanks, Steve]
