iPhone nano fake available in China
Apple may never introduce an iPhone nano, but that's not keeping the knockoff manufacturers in China from creating them. The phone was discovered by a writer for Giz-China.com, who was checking out a Lenovo tablet when he spied the mini-iPhone 4 clone. While unable to get exact dimensions of the device, the writer said that it "easily fits in to the palm of my hand," and the photos show this iPhone nano fake to be about 2/3 the size of a true iPhone 4. Called the iPhone 4 Nano, this Shenzen-made product doesn't run iOS -- instead, it sports a Java-based OS that looks and acts remarkably like Apple's mobile operating system. It comes complete with a 1.3 Megapixel back camera and a front-facing camera, has a resistive touchscreen, and won't (of course) work with the App Store. While this phone retails for about US$58 without a contract, chances are slim that it will make it out of the Chinese market. Still, it would be fun to have a mini-me iPhone 4 to accompany your full-sized Apple smartphone. [via Ubergizmo]
HiPhone F320: 'a rotary phone and an iPod nano walk into a bar...'
With a name like HiPhone, it has to be good, right? Totally. The outfit famous for knocking off RIM's BlackBerry Storm in impressive fashion is back, this time with a psychedelic mishmash that could make even the most hardened soul chuckle once or twice. The F320 is -- as you can so clearly see above -- a terribly funny combination of iPod nano and rotary phone, and while we wouldn't trust the specifications for a minute, we're told that it's a dual-band GSM handset with a built-in multimedia player, FM tuner, camera, 2.6-inch touchscreen and Bluetooth. There's no mention of a price (unless you're willing to commit to buying a few hundred), but trust us, it's better that way.[Via PMP Today]

Our sister blog Engadget is crazy about all things gadgety, which is why they covered the boatload of Nokia announcements today. Those announcements included the phone in the video above. Look a little familiar to anyone? Now, I'm not usually one to accuse companies of copying Apple, product development is a long process and different paths can lead to the same destination. That being said, when questioned during the press event about how this phone looks a little like the iPhone (i.e. exactly like it) Nokia's Exec VP said, "If there is something good in the world then we copy with pride."At least they are honest.This phone should be available sometime next year, unless Apple Legal stops it.
