T-Mobile still taking G1 pre-orders, but you won't get it on October 22

So the good news is that T-Mobile has decided to keep right on taking pre-orders for the G1 through October 21, just one day before the handset's official launch. The bad news, though, is that it doesn't mean you'll be getting your Android on come October 22. Turns out that the initial allotment of G1s set aside for pre-orders is now sold out completely, and any names taken between now and launch will be allotted phones being shipped "at a later date." It's not clear if a "later date" means a week, a month, or a decade after the 22nd, but for the sake of everyone involved, we hope its the former.

Update: T-Mobile's site says that pre-orders taken from here on out will be delivered "as early as November 10," so it looks like you early birds are going to have a nice little period of exclusivity. Thanks, everyone!

Pandora pre-orders extended through the weekend

Procrastinating? Lazy? Living on the streets? Forgot to set your alarm and slept through the week? Well, you're in luck: the Pandora pre-order page will continue to accept your orders through Sunday, and production will be increased beyond the initial 3,000 units to meet the demand. So what are you waiting for? You already blew your first shot -- and this is will be your last chance to catch the open-source sensation this year. Go on, get!

[Thanks, Andrari S.]

Pandora pre-orders go live

We still don't really believe it, but the Pandora pre-order page is now live and accepting orders for the open-source gaming handheld. Only 3,000 units are being delivered this time around, so you'd better act fast -- $329 is all it takes to be a part of history, kids.

iriver's SPINN up for pre-sale, shipping October 3rd

If you've been seriously jonesing for a viable and attractive alternative to Apple's iPod offerings, you may just be in luck. According to iriver, the geek-lust SPINN PMP will be available -- and shipping -- on October 3rd in both 4GB ($249.99) and 8GB ($289.99) varieties. In case you're unclear on the specs, the unique widescreen device sports a 3.3-inch, 480 x 272 AMOLED display, support for MP3, WMA, OGG, APE, FLAC, AVI, and WMV (amongst other) files, FM tuner, and Bluetooth 2.0. Of course, the devices are destined for XP / Vista setups, and don't feature any of that fancy wireless connectivity users are likely getting used to -- but then again, they certainly don't look like other players on the market.

Sony's A900 now available for pre-order

Been saving all those pennies for something really special? If you're a DSLR aficionado (or just general gadget lover), you've probably glanced in the general direction of Sony's monster Alpha A900 DSLR. At a price-point of $2,999, this isn't for everyone, but if you're in the market for a full frame shooter with a handful of enviable features -- you might want to turn your eyeballs in this direction.

Peek email-only handheld now available for pre-order, in stores Monday

Man, the Peek email-only handheld must really be, uh, piquing people's interest -- it just went up for pre-orders and two of the three colors are already backordered a week. The $100 device should also be showing up in Targets nationwide Monday, so if you're as curious as we are they'll be easy to impulse purchase in person as well. Too bad that you're locked into that $19.95/mo data plan as your only option, though -- if we could somehow use our existing data plan or even pay a flat fee upfront for lifetime service we'd be way more likely to snag one. Anyone else picking one up?

Palm now happy to take your $549 for a Treo Pro preorder

Great news for Palm fans, Treo fans, Windows Mobile fans, and anyone who lives out in the sticks: the Treo Pro is now officially available for preorder. Palm's US site now lists the Treo Pro in glossy black "obsidian" for the expected $549 with shipping anticipated in two to three weeks. We'll admit, there's something vaguely sexy about an unlocked smartphone with North American 3G -- no matter how ancient the platform might be. Any chance this'll be upgradeable to Nova, Palm?

Sony's PlayStation 3 wireless keypad now available for pre-order

Hey, remember that totally bodacious PlayStation 3 wireless keypad we told you about last week? Well if you do -- and you should -- you'll be pleased to know that you can now pre-order the $49.99 accessory at Amazon. Sure, you'll still have to wait till November 30th to get your hands and fingertips on the thing, but at least you can sleep at night, safe in the knowledge that it has your name on it.

Dying to get your eyes and fingers all over Mio's GPS-incarnation of KITT? Can't hardly wait to hear the voice of the voice of the original KITT barking directions at you? Get your credit card out, then prepare to be $269.99 lighter and 40 percent nerdier.

Kodak's $180 Zi6 HD pocket video camera up for pre-order

There's still a great chance that this thing will completely underwhelm, but those willing to give it a shot without reading so much as a single review can now secure their place in line. For $179.95, to-be owners can pre-order Kodak's Zi6 HD pocket video camera in either pink or black, but there's no mention of how soon it'll ship. Anyone taking the plunge (and willing to admit it)?

60GB Xbox 360 shows up for preorder at Circuit City, two days later than Amazon

Xbox 360 preorder at Circuit City
If you're looking to step up to a 60GB Xbox 360 but have an irrational fear of Amazon, Circuit City just put it up for pre-order. The price is still $349.99 but ship date is August 6, two inexplicable days later than Amazon. The site lists an HDMI output with upscaling DVD player, which is nice to see. Other than that, all else looks to be the same -- no Circuit City bonuses like cables, games, or other schwag.

Voodoo now accepting Envy 133 phone orders

Alright, it's finally here -- Voodoo's configuration page for the Envy 133 just went live with pricing information, and we're being told that orders are being accepted over the phone. Depending on options and paint jobs, you're going to put a dent in your wallet anywhere from $2100 to $3400, but it's still not clear exactly when units will be shipping out. Anyone taking the plunge?

Sigma DP1 available for pre-order at Amazon

Hey, remember that hot looking Sigma DP1 we've been yapping about for ages? Well if you can't another second to put your buyin' hat on, the handsome 10-megapixel shooter is available for pre-ordering on Amazon right this second. For just $799.99 ($200 less than the list price), you can finally achieve the satisfied sleep of a Sigma DP1 almost-owner. Sure, you'll still have to wait till March 25th for the goods to drop, but you can probably entertain yourself by pre-ordering a bunch of accessories and booking all the models you're going to shoot when the camera arrives.

Pink and blue Xbox 360 wireless controllers get street dates, color changes

For all you fashion plates and bon vivants (and also little boys and girls), we don't want you to forget that Microsoft is introducing two new colors into its multi-hued, wireless, Xbox 360 controller-world on October 2nd: blue and pastel pink. The weird thing here is that in Japan, a baby blue version of the controller will be available (as pictured), but apparently the Xbox team doesn't seem to think the market in the States is ready for such a bold color choice. Regardless, if you really need to get the lighter color, you can plan for the Japanese release date of November 1st.
