The latest version of Ableton's popular Live software has lots of new tools for would-be music makers. A new synth and some MIDI creation tools should help the creativity flow.
It was nearly five years between the release of Ableton Live 9 and Live 10. The biggest is definitely MPE support. The MPE curious can even dip their toes in with the $99 Orba from Artiphon, which doubles as a standalone instrument.
Today, Akai reveals the MPC Live II. The Live II has one obvious new addition: a pair of “studio monitors” built right in. The speakers sit along the bottom and offer stereo sound wherever you are.
