Heads up, HD DVD followers -- it's not just Amazon dishing out two flicks for the price of one anymore. As of right now, Best Buy is offering up a select number of titles in BOGO fashion, but there's no sign of how long the offer will last. 'Course, it's not like the retailer hasn't given the Blu-ray camp its chance to get in on such a deal before, but apparently, big yellow is looking out for camp red today.[Thanks, Mike K.]Update: Seems this deal will cease to exist (if only momentarily) on Sunday. Thanks, TrentD!

We know, it's tough to believe, but Amazon's recent Buy 1 Get 1 free offer on Blu-ray titles has skyrocketed a number of BD films to the top of its curiously named DVD rankings. Granted, we saw the exact same thing happen to the red camp just days ago, but just in case the dead horse needed one more thumping, it's pretty safe to say that lowering disc prices will net a hefty gain in sales. At one point earlier today, the entire top ten list consisted of Blu-ray films, and currently, a majority of those positions are still being claimed by BD titles. So before you jump all down the other camp's throat about sales figures, you may want to give the lion's share of credit to lower prices, plain and simple.[Thanks to everyone who sent this in]

Sure, you may still be clearing your head after a few nights of debauchery, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that Buy 1 Get 1 ain't a half bad deal. Just a week after offering up such a deal on HD DVD flicks, Amazon is now giving Blu-ray owners (another) shot at picking up a number of films in BOGO fashion. Per usual, there's a limit of two per title, per customer and you can only snag 25 free titles per order, but why not hit the read link and check out the selections, anyway?[Thanks, Jim]
