iubi's H80 isn't the firm's first Bluetooth-enabled portable media player to make us momentarily wish we were in Seoul, but it is the newest. Set to take South Korea by storm in green, silver and orange hues, this unit will boast a built-in speaker, integrated e-dictionary, a DaVinci chip and an internal HDD with 30GB / 60GB of space. If you're in the right place, you can call one your own for ???360,008 ($384) or ???410,008 ($437), depending on model.[Via PMPToday]

  • iubi's WiFi-enabled PMP-1480 does GPS / DMB on video

It's not everyday that you can sneak a peek at the latest and greatest Korea has to offer on video, but PMPToday snagged a lengthy video of the iubi's forthcoming PMP-1480 on camera, and we're duly impressed. The "mock-up" on display looked mighty fine, and although it was a tad on the large side, it's hard to cram a 4.3-inch WVGA (yeah, that's 800 x 480) touchscreen into anything much smaller. The innards consist of a TMS320 DM6441 processor, 64MB of Flash ROM, 128MB of RAM, a 1.8-inch hard drive in the 30/40/60GB varieties, rechargeable battery pack, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, WiFi, GPS, USB, and composite / S-Video / component video outputs to boot. Aside from the impressive hardware list, this Windows CE-powered device will also play nice with just about every format imaginable, including XviD, DivX, MPEG1/2/4, AVI, WMV, JPEG, BMP, and MP3, and the optional HSDPA dongle should keep users connected when hotspots are too far away . Sadly, we Americans aren't likely to see this beauty (click on through for the vid) without going through the appropriate import channels, but Korean dwellers can look forward to throwing down a currently undisclosed amount in the May timeframe.[Thanks, Voland]

It's not like we were complaining the first time around, but iubi has just busted at a minor refresh of its Blue PMP over in Korea, and there's even more to love. The main enhancements are the fancy new DMB receiver, a 60GB HDD (up from 30GB) and a price drop to roughly $433. The player face did lose its fancy little Bluetooth logo, so that connectivity might be gone, but the other fancy stuff like a 480 x 272 4.3-inch display, and ridiculously comprehensive codec support really makes up for it. Apparently the player is available now in Korea, and while the DMB function means we don't have much of a shot at seeing this one over here, that's not going to stop us from drooling from afar.

Another day, another totally sick portable media player we won't soon see here in the US. Iubi's N4300 has the obligatory CE.net 5 install, powering a 4.3-inch display, with GPS and XviD, DivX, MPEG, WMV, MP3, WMA, and OGG playback. We're actually a little happy we can report on these without worrying about their heading to the states -- what kind of mess would our market be if we had to choose from all these things?

With all the foreign PMPs we've featured on these pages, we can't blame you for not remembering a Bluetooth-enabled model from iubi that we brought you a few months back, but one look at its recently-released specs will definitely make you want to keep this one on your radar from here on out. Sporting a 30GB hard drive and a 4.3-inch, 480 x 272 widescreen LCD that Advanced MP3 Players calls "razor sharp," the iubi Blue (model number IUBI2500) supports nearly every codec known to man, including MPEG-1/2/4, DivX (3.x, 4.x, and 5.x), XviD, WMV 7/8/9, AVI, H.264, MOV, and Real -- and that's just for video, which can also be fed to an external monitor at 720 x 480 resolution. On the audio side you've got support for MP3, WMA, WAV, OGG, AAC-LC, and AC-3, and best of all, the Blue features 3D sound enhancement from Wolfson for output that's described as "earth-shattering." Moreover, you're also getting A2DP for rocking wireless headphones, USB on-the-go functionality for dumping photos from compatible cameras, and like the Archos lineup, direct AV recording thanks to the included MPEG-4 encoder. Already available in Korea, this feature-packed model is expected to hit British shores soon for just $461, and may very well be htting our own gadget shelf shortly afterwards.[Via DAPreview]
