Been wondering when you were finally going to get your eyes on that fancy new Xbox 360 experience? Well the secret is out -- come November 19th, your dashboard will never be the same. The good folks at Joystiq have delivered this wonderful news live-and-direct from the Tokyo Game Show, where they're blogging the Microsoft press briefing while undoubtedly enjoying the finest cowboy rolls known to man and hob-nobbing with other glorious gamers. Feel free to check into their live coverage via the link below, and start prepping for serious avatar creation.

PS.- Check out our earlier gallery of the new dash here.

NeuroSky and Square Enix set to demo mind-controlled gaming

The last time we saw NeuroSky's MindSet brainwave-controlled gaming headset, the company was partnering with Sega -- now the peripheral-maker has teamed with Square Enix to produce what we hope will be a "mind-blowing" (groan) demo at this year's Tokyo Game Show. If you'll recall, NeuroSky has been pushing its unique brand of mind-controlled gaming since way back in 2005, but it appears the technology has become increasingly attractive to notable game-makers as of late. On Thursday, the two companies plan a demonstration of the in-game powers of relaxation at TGS in what appears to be a perfect example of Neo-like godliness. The whole thing goes down October 9th, so be there or be Square. Enix.

Microsoft's TGS 2007 booth tour

Despite the Xbox 360's lackluster sales in Japan, Microsoft's mammoth Tokyo Game Show booth still managed to turn out a huge crowd, especially on the appeal of forthcoming titles like Lost Odyssey. Of course, it's no surprise that Redmond dedicated a fair bit of kitted out demo space to Halo 3, what with all those limited edition consoles (like the one we got our hands on) being used to pound Covenant foot soldiers into submission. Check it on out in the gallery.

Sony's TGS 2007 booth tour

We're on Sony's home turf when visiting their enormous booth at Tokyo Game Show 2007. We won't mince words about how it might (and effectively did) house a small nation state of PlayStation booth attendants, just be sure to take a quick look at the elaborate setups on the Eye of Judgment tables, the Little Big Planet grotto, and the Gran Tourismo 5 Prologue raceway. Also appreciated by us nerdy Engadget editors: the PS3 firmware timeline Sony posted near the rest of its highlights of PS3 home networking.

Hori Ace Combat joystick for Xbox 360 on display

Blink and you might have missed it: at Tokyo Game Show Microsoft is showing off the Hori Ace Combat joysticks that were announced a couple of months ago for the Xbox 360. They still aren't available until November 1st overseas (and who knows when the US will get 'em), but there's nothing that manages to excite us like glass-encased $150 video game flight sticks that use old school parallel connections. Engadget Japanese reporting live from Microsoft's Xbox TGS event

Ok, this is kind of weird and incestuous, but our Japanese spinoff (Engadget Japanese) is reporting live to our games spinoff (Joystiq) from Microsoft's pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference. We just feel like proud parents watching our babies all grown up, being successful and sharing a laugh and cavorting with one another while we sip Arnold Palmers. Shine on, you crazy diamonds.

Joystiq @ Tokyo Games Show 2006

Our pals over at Joystiq just spent a relaxing weekend at Tokyo Game Show 2006 over in Chiba, Japan. The frivolities included a 0.8 mile line to enter the show (TGS is open to the public, unlike the now-deceased E3), a total "snoozer" of a Sony keynote, and of course that boring stuff like a PS3 price drop and Microsoft's HD DVD drive pricepoint stunner. So, if you think you can handle the lack of excitement, just hit that read link to experience TGS in all its blog-ed glory.

PlayStation 3 and packaging spotted in the wild

Oh deary us, pictures of the PlayStation 3 before it's launched? Looks a lot like some Sony dudes setting up at TGS when these were snapped, we can't imagine anywhere else in the world right now that would require such a setup. So what if we want our cake (Wii), and to eat it too (PS3) -- we could live with all three next-gen consoles.

[Thanks, Iboro Ekpo]
