Engadget HD Podcast 241 - 03.15.2011

Another melancholy week, as we wave goodbye to Engadget Editors (and former HD podcast special guests) Joshua Topolsky and Nilay Patel before diving into a slew of news including Time Warner's new iPad app with live TV streaming. The latest Switched On editorial also raised some interesting questions about the future of smart TVs, while we also wonder where Hulu Plus is for the TiVo. Apple news that doesn't have to do with the iPad includes a few new additions for the Apple TV and a new AirPlay partner (though we did get some iPad 2 chat in just for good measure.) IPTV is a hot topic, with new Xbox 360 rumors and bandwidth caps on the way from AT&T, but we finally got to some new hardware news with word that Sharp's latest players are shipping (RS-232 mention, mark your Bingo square) and discussion of a standard for active shutter 3D glasses. We'll wrap things up with a discussion of whether or not Panasonic is ready to finally dethrone the Kuro this time around and imagine a cold, cold fall and winter without pro football.
