Peak Design is moving into the smartphone accessory market. The company, best known for its popular Everyday camera bags, has unveiled a mobile-focused system called Mobile. Peak Design has made an Everyday Case for the iPhone 11, iPhone 12 and Samsung Galaxy S20 that has a SlimLink built right in.

Apple has long retired its MagSafe power ports, but apparently it has yet to let go of the name. The company has just announced new wireless chargers that have inherited the MagSafe moniker: the MagSafe Charger and the MagSafe Duo Charger.
Amazon has a rare sale on official iPhone cases
Apple's first-party iPhone cases tend to cost significantly more than their no-name counterparts. Even cases from well-regarded companies like Spigen are usually less expensive than the ones you can buy directly from Apple. That said, if you prefer to put your recently purchased iPhone 11, 11 Pro or 11 Pro Max in a matching case, Amazon has discounted its stock of Apple-made cases. Apple's iPhone 11 battery case includes a dedicated camera button
Apple has introduced new versions of its Smart Battery Cases for the latest iPhones, but this time there's a better reason to buy than just the extra longevity. Its newly-released cases for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max all include a dedicated camera button that can launch the Camera app, take a photo or (if you hold it) record video. The concept of a camera button on an iPhone case certainly isn't new, but this is an official option -- and it's hard to find a case that also extends your battery.
CDC confirms 2,051 cases of vaping-related lung injury
The number of vaping-related lung injuries is up to 2,051, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) said in a statement today. Health officials are now referring to the mystery illness as EVALI, short for e-cigarette, or vaping, product use associated lung injury. Cases of EVALI have been reported in 49 states (all but Alaska) and the District of Columbia, and a total of 39 deaths have been confirmed.

FTC crackdown targets operations responsible for one billion robocalls
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and its law enforcement partners are cracking down on robocallers. Today, the FTC announced that it's filed 94 actions against organizations responsible for more than one billion illegal calls. As part of "Operation Call it Quits," the FTC has opened four new legal cases and three new settlements, bringing the number of cases the FTC has filed against robocallers to 145.
Fuze is the first iPhone 7 headphone jack case you can preorder
It was only a matter of time until iPhone 7 accessory makers started delivering a slew of cases to bring back the 3.5mm headphone jack. But I didn't expect the first case that you could actually preorder -- Fuze -- would come from a tiny Austin outfit's Indiegogo campaign. For the most part, Fuze doesn't pack in any surprises. It's a traditional case for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus that includes a headphone jack and also recharges your phone. That's it! But given the outcry against the loss of the 3.5mm port, its basic feature set might still win over some fans.
Barclays helps put bPay contactless chips in phone cases
Alongside its bPay wearables and key fob, Barclays (or more specifically, Barclaycard) brings contactless payments to other things by way of a simple NFC sticker. This looks most at home stuck to the back of a smartphone, but now the bank has partnered with cover merchant Case Station for some slightly more elegant, albeit bulkier solutions. After teaming up with a clothing brand on a jacket with a contactless chip hidden in the cuff, Barclays' new ally is now offering a range of protective, fully personalised cases with built-in bPay for popular phones from the likes of Apple, Samsung and LG.
Mophie brings wireless charging to its iPhone battery cases
Wireless phone charging has been around for years, but most consumers wouldn't know it. The fight between different standards and a lack of support from phone makers has made the entire idea of charging your mobile wirelessly a huge mess. Mophie is hoping to bring some sanity to the concept with its new $100 Juice Pack Wireless cases for the iPhone 6 and 6S, which integrate cord-free charging along with an additional 50 percent of battery life.
Apple made it mindlessly easy to design a custom Watch
Remember when the Apple Watch launched, and you had to book an appointment, with an actual human, if you wanted to try the different strap and case combinations? Apple eased up after the watch had been on sale a while, meaning as long as you were in store, and someone was available, you'd be able to try out different styles. Still, that was a bit too humany (and time consuming) for many of us. Online dwellers were stuck with a gallery of basic combinations and their imaginations. It looks like Apple finally figured out how to save us all a bunch of time, and human interaction, with an updated mix-and-match gallery.

After surveying almost 1,000 Wirecutter readers and testing close to 100 iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus cases over a period of about 50 hours (so far), our current pick for the best all-around case is the NGP from Incipio. The NGP line has protected several generations of iPhones (and many other devices) and has a reputation for providing solid protection and a good fit at a great price. It's slim enough not to detract from the iPhone 6's svelte dimensions while still offering comprehensive protection for the handset's body, including its buttons. Openings along the bottom allow for compatibility with a wide range of accessories.
The Puzlook iPhone case combines a puzzle and photography
Well here's something that's...unique. The Puzlook iPhone case contains five lenses to your iPhone to enhance your photography, including wide-angle, macro, telephoto, and fisheye lenses. There's also a tripod mount an integrated 8 GB USB memory stick. What's weird is that the lenses are configured like a sliding tile puzzle. To use the one you're after, you must "solve" it into place. I realize it's just a five-piece puzzle on a six-slot board, so it isn't exactly difficult. But I suspect the novelty would wear off very quickly. But what do I know? The Puzlook is available for the iPhone 5 and 5s only, with a price tag of US$99.
Cases licensed under Apple's MFi program must survive 1m drops under new standards
When you're selling an iPhone accessory it helps to have the official stamp on your product that reads "Made for iPhone." It lets people know your product isn't just a cheap knock off. To get that stamp you have to meet certain standards, which have just gotten a little more strict. According to 9 to 5 Mac, Apple has introduced new environmental and protection standards for cases licensed through the MFi program. The standards were put into effect following September's announcement of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. MFi cases are now required to protect devices from drops on a hard service from up to one meter. Cases must also now lay flat when laying on a flat surface and provide at least one mm of space between the device's glass and the surface. The new standards also include new restrictions on what chemicals can be used to manufacture cases, including Formaldehyde, PFOS, PFOA, PBDE, PBB, and endangered species of plants.

The case has a slightly raised bezel to protect your screen from face-down drops, and the volume and power buttons are covered with pass-through buttons. I really like the looks of the iGlaze Armour, especially with the cutout on the back that proudly displays the Apple logo on the back of your phone. The Overture is a reasonably-priced and durable-looking case that is perfect in the inside pocket of your business suit. The phone sits comfortably and securely in a polycarbonate shell attached to a nice faux-leather folio. That folio has space for bills, ID, credit cards, and more. It comes in three colors to match the exteriors of the iPhone 6 Plus, and includes a screen cleaner that you can wash and reuse time and time again. The folio also flips into a handy stand for video viewing. It's a bit thicker than the iGlaze Armour, but shouldn't be overwhelmingly large for those who want a full folio type wallet case. Rating: 3-1/2 stars out of 4 stars possible Moshi iVisor AG Anti-glare screen protector for iPhone 6 Plus ($29.95) While it's not a case, the iVisor AG for iPhone 6 Plus is an accessory you might want to consider if you've found you're prone to scratching the screen on your device. The iVisor AG installs quickly onto the screen of your device and is washable if it gets messy down the road. It comes with white or black bezels to match your particular iPhone 6 Plus. If you're worried about bubbles forming when you install it, note that the Moshi folks have pretty much figured out how you can install this repeatedly without bubbles forming under the display. A bit pricy, but cheaper than replacing an iPhone 6 Plus screen. Rating: 3-1/2 stars out of 4 stars possible. Amzer Crüsta Rugged Case for iPhone 6 Plus ($45.00) Looking for rugged protection for your iPhone 6 Plus? Amzer's Crüsta has four functional layers of protection, comes in a huge variety of color combinations, and - unlike some ultra-rugged cases - doesn't come with a big price tag. The four layers consist of a tempered glass edge to edge screen protector, and embedded tempered glass polycarbonate hard shell case, a textured finished thermoplastic rubber ring complete with plugs for all of the ports, and a functional belt clip holster. It's a bit bulky with the holster at 1.25 inches thick, but not too bad if you go holsterless and pocket the case and phone - that's only .59 inches thick. Installation was quite easy, there are tons of color choices, and altogether Amzer's Crüsta case looks like it will be quite popular with the outdoor - and clumsy - crowd. Rating: 3-1/2 stars out of 4 stars possible Silk Innovation PureView for iPhone 6 ($11.99) Maybe I've just been writing too many reviews of iPhone cases lately, but the three Silk Innovation cases I'm looking at seem way too familiar - like they came out of the same Chinese factory as some other cases... The least expensive of these is the PureView, an ultra-slim case in either black or gold that features a clear back panel that can be adorned with your own artwork, a raised bevel to protect your screen, and a screen protector - all for twelve bucks. While I can't say it's the most beautiful or functional case I've ever seen, it certainly protects your device without denting your wallet. Rating: 3 stars out of 4 stars possible Silk Innovations Vault Slim Wallet for iPhone 6 ($14.99) Once again, I'm feeling deja vu for the Vault Slim Wallet for iPhone 6. It comes in three colors: midnight black, champagne gold, and pacific green. It has a slot on the back for three cards (credit cards or IDs) and cash, and includes a screen protection film. Design-wise, it's rather plain-jane, but the price is incredible. A functional wallet case for iPhone 6 for fifteen bucks. Rating: 3 stars out of 4 stars possible Silk Innovation Stealth Armor Tough Case for iPhone 6 ($17.99) So, you need a bit more protection than the Vault Slim Wallet can provide? The Stealth Armor has a two-layer design with a rubber core and polycarbonate shell to provide excellent protection at a minimal cost. The case comes with three interchangeable backplates - gunmetal, gold and silver - so you can change the look of your iPhone 6 as you wish. Gotta admit, I like the protection and the interchangeable back. It also includes the screen protector that Silk Innovation throws in for the other cases. Rating: 3-1/2 stars out of 4 stars possible Speck MightyShell for iPhone 6 ($49.95) Take one part bright colors, two parts military-grade drop protection, and a super slim design, and you have Speck's MightyShell iPhone 6 cases. They come in black/slate grey/gravel grey, fuschia pink/heritage grey/cupcake pink, carrot orange/slate grey/speck blue, lilac purple/soot grey/raisin purple, or clear/slate grey/clear. The big point here? The case meets double the requirement for MIL-STD-810G military drop test standards, yet is only 0.18" thick. There's a nice rubberized bumper around the exterior for good grip, and a "radial impact geometry" that looks like an elongated bulls-eye in the back of the case that compresses on impact. It also has a lifetime warranty, which is nothing to sneeze about. Rating: 3-1/2 stars out of 4 stars possible Bodyguardz ScreenGuardz HD Impact for iPhone 6 ($29.95) If you'd like to do without a case but want anti-glare screen protection, the ScreenGuardz HD Impact screen protector is a PET-based film that is applied with an optical grade silicone adhesive. At only .35 mm thick, it keeps your screen from impacts and scratches. Rating: 3-1/2 stars out of 4 stars possible Bodyguardz ScreenGuardz Pure for iPhone 6 ($39.95) Like the HD Impact, the ScreenGuardz Pure is only a screen protector treated with an anti-glare agent. But unlike the HD Impact, this screen protector is actually made of chemically strengthened tempered glass. Maximum protection for the most delicate part of your iPhone, with minimum additional thickness and weight. Rating: 4 stars out of 4 stars possible Zagg Invisible Shield hdx for iPhone 6 ($24.99) Even if you plan on buying another protective case of some sort for your iPhone 6, you might still want to consider some sort of screen protection. After all, many times when you drop an iPhone, the screen - one of the most expensive components to replace - shatters. The Invisible Shield hdx uses a material that was designed to protect military helicopter blades, so it keeps your iPhone display safe from impact. If it's scratched, the material is self-healing and those scratches will eventually disappear. What's really great is that you might be able to find an Invisible Shield mall cart near you, which will provide on-site installation. Rating: 3-1/2 stars out of 4 stars possible Zagg Invisible Shield Glass for iPhone 6 ($34.99) What's even better than Zagg's Invisible Shield hdx? How about a shield made out of tempered glass? The Glass for iPhone 6 has the best possible clarity, is only 0.4 mm thick, and comes with a lifetime guarantee. It too can be used with most cases. As noted before, if you don't want to install the screen protector yourself, Zagg has a nationwide network of mall carts where you can have the protector installed professionally for free. Nodus Access Cases for iPhone and iPad are stylish and useful
Back in late 2013, one of our former UK bloggers (Richard Gaywood) wrote a review of an iPhone case from The Nodus Collection. At that time, the Access Case was part of a Kickstarter campaign; now the company is selling the cases through its website. Recently I received both an iPhone 6 Plus Access Case (pre-order for £49.99, price includes international shipping) and an iPad Air Access Case (£99.99, price includes international shipping) for review, so I thought it was a perfect time to take a look at these thin, light and stylish cases again. Check out the review, and then take a chance at winning one of these cases for yourself. Design As Richard pointed out in his earlier review, the Access Case uses micro-suction technology to both attach the device to the case and to keep the cover closed. The material used holds onto your iPhone or iPad tightly, but releases with a sharp pull if you need to take the case off. Both cases are made of a nicely-finished leather in either ebony (black) or chestnut (brown). The two samples we received were both chestnut and really looked good with very fine stitching around the edges. As with most folio/wallet cases of this type, the Access Case can be used as a stand to hold your device in landscape orientation, as a wallet (it has a full-length pocket for cards or bills), and of course as a protective cover for your device. The top, bottom, and right side of the iPhone and iPad are left open, making it easy to plug the devices in for recharging. There's also the requisite opening for the iPhone camera and flash on the iPhone case, and the smaller hole for the iPad camera on that case. Functionality The cases look great, but do they do their job? From my limited testing, the answer is an unqualified "yes". Both cases hold their respective devices in place firmly with the micro-suction material. Both protect the screen and back of the iPhone or iPad. Both work well as wallets. All in all, they do what they're supposed to do. Removing the devices from the micro-suction material was easy, and the material is easily cleanable if it collects dust or other debris. Conclusion The Access Cases for iPad Air and iPhone 6 Plus look good, although they're rather plain. If you want a nice leather case without frills, this is probably going to make you happy. However, both cases come with a price tag that seems unreasonably high considering that there are similar micro-suction leather cases for much less that the £49.99 (US$79.35 at current exchange rates) price for the iPhone 6 Plus case or the £99.99 ($158.71) iPad Air case. A good example is the recently-reviewed Twelve South SurfacePad, which sells for $49.99 for the iPhone 6 Plus version and $79.99 for the iPad Air edition. Another big iPhone 6 case review roundup and giveaway
This is getting bad. So many iPhone 6 cases have come into my office lately that it's beginning to look like a case warehouse. Rather than treat you to a never-ending series of individual reviews, I thought it would be a better idea to just go through the pile of cases one by one, rate 'em, and then give them away. On the sad side, I've received a whopping ONE iPhone 6 Plus case since just before the devices shipped, so we don't have any of those to review. BoxWave Dual+ Holster Case (US$14.95) I can't say that I'm a real fan of holster cases, simply because they make people look like nerds (not that that's a bad thing...). In this case, you have a jet black polycarbonate holster with a weave pattern on it into which a rather nondescript black polycarbonate case slides. It also comes in white. The case has a little sliding stand on the back of it, or you can actually use the holster as a stand as well. This holster case is listed with a regular price of $29.95, but selling now for just $14.95. I give it points for being inexpensive (at least right now), for offering protection, and for having not one, but two stands. On the negative side, it's kinda ugly. Rating: 2-1/2 stars out of 4 stars possible BoxWave Classic Book Case ($34.95) Now this is much better: a genuine leather wallet case in the classic book style made famous by DODOcase, Pad & Quill, and Twelve South. There are slots for an ID as well as a couple of credit cards, a "hidden" pocket for cash and the entire thing folds into a stand for watching your iPhone 6 in landscape orientation. The interior "holder" for the iPhone 6 is made of polycarbonate, which should give it some extra protection in case of a drop. Being made of leather, it looks good and will get a nice patina with age. The price is right, and it's definitely useful. Rating: 3 stars out of 4 stars possible BoxWave Almost Nothing Case ($9.95) When BoxWave named this case, I'm not sure if they had the price or the transparency of the plastic in mind. It's a simple crystal clear transparent shell for your iPhone 6. Nothing more to say about it than that. It's pretty minimal. The usual price is listed as $29.95, which I would not spend on this. $9.95? Heck yes. Rating: 2 stars out of 4 stars possible Hard Candy Candy Clip Case ($29.95) The Candy Clip Case is kind of a cross between one of those minimalistic bumper sets that you can get for most iPhones and a regular cheap polycarbonate case. I frankly don't like the design, which looks lopsided. There's an "integrated card stand slot", meaning that you can take a business or credit card and stick it into the slot to prop the iPhone 6 up. What, for $30 you can't include a flip-out stand? Oh, by the way, it comes in transparent red and blue, as well as clear. Rating: 1-1/2 stars out of 4 stars possible Urban Armor Gear Outland ($34.95) Ahhh, here we go, with the first case I've seen today that actually looks like it can protect your iPhone 6. The Outland meets MIL-STD 810G 516.6 for drop protection, has an HD screen protector to guard against screen scratches, and uses an armor shell around an impact-resistant soft core to keep your device totally safe. Buttons are covered by oversized tactile buttons, making it simple to touch 'em without looking. This case comes in orange with black and dark gray highlights; the same case is also available in a dark blue (Aero), clear (Maverick), or white (Navigator) finish. A very impressive looking case, and the price is right - but they're out of stock online right now. Rating: 3-1/2 stars out of 4 stars possible And that's it for this week. It has to be rough to be an iPhone case manufacturer. Every couple of years, you catch wind of a new form factor coming out for Apple's products, and it's back to the CAD package, drawing up new and hopefully different cases to protect the latest out of Cupertino. During the past few weeks, we've heard a lot from manufacturers about their coming iPhone 6 products. Here's what's been announced for Apple's newest smartphone: Seidio Seidio is releasing two cases for the 4.7-inch iPhone 6: the Surface for iPhone 6 (US$34.95) and the Dilex Pro for iPhone 6 ($34.95). According to the notes provided to TUAW, the Surface protects your iPhone from scratches and drops while adding minimal bulk. It doesn't attract lint, nor does it slide around easily thanks to a soft-touch surface. There are precision cut-outs for access to the ports, controls, speakers and camera. The case uses a unique slide-in design to make putting on and removing the case easy. The Dilex Pro for iPhone 6 features Seidio's new Hexguard technology, which uses a honeycomb pattern on the interior TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) casing that provides extra cushioning in case the phone is dropped. As with the Surface, the Dilex Pro has a soft-touch coating on the exterior. Interlocking layers snap onto the iPhone 6 without separation, and a built-in metal kickstand provides hands-free experience in landscape orientation for viewing multimedia or displaying clocks and calendars. PureGear PureGear went whole-hog on the iPhone 6 accessories. Let's dive on in! First up is the Hip Case+. It is a 4-in-1 system with a rubberized grip, 180-degree rotating holster clip, interior 2-slot ID/credit card holder, and a low-profile kickstand. It'll be available in black or gray for $34.99. Let's put a little color into the world of the iPhone 6. The Slim Shell ($24.99) comes in a variety of vibrant two-tone shells, but will also come in clear if you need protection but want to show the world you have an iPhone 6. It's made of flexible rubber and polycarbonate, featuring metal volume and power buttons. Need more protection? The PureGear DualTek Extreme Shock Case has an ergonomic grip, layered construction, and shock-resistant corner impact protection for drops of up to six feet. Available in Matte Black, Arctic White, Caribbean Blue, Radiant Orchid, and Kayak Yellow. All this protection is available for just $34.99. Now if you really want to travel light, you'll want the PureGear Express Folio, which combines the protection of a case with a wallet. Three models are available: Perfectly Black (made of perforated faux leather), Simply Caramel (faux leather), and Naturally Navy (canvas). All of these are just $39.99. PureGear will also be releasing a trio of its PureTek Roll-On Screen Shields priced at $24.99 to $39.99. The three models are AF (anti-fingerprint), IP (impact protection), and Flexible Glass. Grovemade The first really unique cases for iPhone 6 are coming out from none other than Portland, Oregon's Grovemade. Three different models are available: the Leather iPhone Cases, the Walnut and Maple iPhone Cases, and the Walnut and Maple iPhone Bumpers. The Leather iPhone Cases (center, above) are handcrafted from premium vegetable-tanned leather fused with either Oregon Claro Walnut or Eastern Hardrock Maple. The case doubles as a stand and features laser cut actuated power and volume buttons. Each case is individually hand sanded and stained and will retail for $119. The Walnut and Maple iPhone Cases (right, above) will sell for $79, and are made from Oregon Claro Walnut and Eastern Hardrock Maple. There's a one-piece adhesive back plate that attached to the back of your iPhone and can be removed without leaving any residue. Finally, the Walnut and Maple iPhone Bumpers (left, above) will retail for just $49. This is a one-piece design that is the industry's first complete wooden frame that offers the durability of a case without the weight or cost. TYLT TYLT has two new products that will come out in Q4 for the iPhone 6. First is the $99.99 ENERGI Sliding Power Case, featuring a whopping 3,200 mAh rechargeable battery pack. There's an exterior charging case that can be removed, revealing a TPU-lined inner case for drop protection. It's going to retail for $99.99. The company has also announced the ALIN Glass Screen Protector for iPhone 6 ($34.99) to keep your iPhone 6 clean and scratch free. JunoPower And here's another rechargeable battery pack case that has been announced for the iPhone 6. JunoPower's NovaPak is available for pre-order for $49.99. The company is saying that the NovaPak will feature a capacity of 3,000 mAh and be one of the slimmest battery cases around at just 14 mm thick. It's surrounded by a TPU plastic molding for resistance to dust and fingerprints. Although we don't know at the time this post is being written whether or not the iPhone 6 will have wireless charging capabilities, NovaPak can be ordered with an optional wireless charging cradle. X-Doria X-Doria wasted no time in coming out with a series of iPhone 6 cases, some of which are really fashionable! Let's start with X-Doria's Defense 720°case ($29.99) which includes a grippy protective bumper, a sturdy back shield, and a full-screen front shield. It's available in black, blue and pink. The original Defense 360° case will also be available at $29.99 and comes in clear. Looking for a folio-type case for your iPhone 6? The Engage Folio ($29.99) starts with a clear polycarbonate back, then adds a leather-like front cover to protect the iPhone 6 screen and allow storage for credit cards or a license. The Scene Plus ($29.99) comes in four different unique designs all with 3D pattern accents created by a multi-layer printing process. Those designs are Pink Ombre, Black Bubbles, Black Stripes, and the very cool Gold Digital Dust (below). The X-Doria Dash Folio One ($29.99) is a wallet, case and stand in one sleek package. Your iPhone will be protected in a slim polycarbonate shell, while a leather-like cover protects the screen and acts as a prop. Want to see that beautiful iPhone 6 body, but want it protected? The Engage Plus ($29.99) uses a clear polycarbonate shell, yet has a metallic coating on the lower half of the case and on all edges. It's available in gold and silver. The Scene Grip ($24.99) also gives you a see-through body, while adding a touch oversized rubber outside and hard polycarbonate case for protection. It's available in pink, black and blue. If you spent too much on your iPhone 6 and need to save money protecting it, the Scene ($19.99) is a bargain. It has a translucent polycarbonate case and a co-molded frame to protect against shocks and jolts. Available in pink, light gray, and black. SwitchEasy There are even more iPhone 6 cases coming from SwitchEasy, which seems to be following the path of bright colors. Let's start with Numbers ($19.99), made of durable and shock-resistant hydropolymer. The case has extra protection at the corners, as well as pop-out integrated plugs to protect the phone's ports against due and debris. Colors include frost white, methyl blue, rose bouquet, stealth black, submarine yellow, and the lovely sunlit tangerine shown below. Tones ($19.99) is the next line from SwitchEasy, featuring bright, two-tone color designs made with TPU and a hard polycarbonate back plate. Here you have the choice of cosmos black, flush pink, orange and space white. Odyssey ($19.99) looks like a prop from the classic movie 2001: A Space Odyssey! Available in black and pink, it uses a touch polycarbonate H-frame for corner protection while using soft textured TPU in the middle for a good grip. Just want the lightest, thinnest possible case for your iPhone 6? The 0.35 ($14.99) is just .35mm thick and weighs just 4 grams. Available in blue, frost white, pink, stealth black and yellow. Do you like it NUDE? If you don't like cases but need protection, the $24.99 NUDE is only 0.6mm thick and it comes in either ultra clear or ultra black. Two more from SwitchEasy! The $34.99 WRAP looks like a pocket journal and is made from faux leather in black or brown with an anodized aluminum accent bar. Last but not least is the LifePocket ($39.99), a combo case and wallet. If's available in military green, navy blue, and space gray. BuQu Tech You thought we were at the end of this list? Hahahahaha! You wish! I wish! No, we have a few more, and the BuQu PowerArmour battery case is the first. It has a 2,500mAh battery, an easy slide-lock mechanism for inserting and removing the iPhone 6, and it should be available in November of 2014 for $79.99. New Trent Meet the New Trent, same as the old trent... (sorry, I'm getting punchy). Interestingly enough, while most manufacturers have hedged their bets and said that the cases are "for the iPhone 6", New Trent is saying that their cases will be available for both the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S. Say what? Yep, the Trentium case ($31.95) will be available on New Trent's website for both the "4.7 inch and 5.5 inch displays" in black, silver, gold or transparent finishes. The company is also building a case called the Alixo that will also come in "both sizes". Alixo is transparent and features a front cover. It's also $31.95. Both cases for the iPhone 6 will be available on September 25, while those for the iPhone 6S will be available on October 31. Pong Case But wait, there's more! Pong Research Corporation develops mobile device cases with "intelligent antenna technology." The cases are designed to redirect wireless energy away from users, substantially reducing exposure to harmful wireless energy. There are two cases (neither of which we have pictures of), the Sleek and the Rugged, both of which retail starting at $49.99.
iPhone 6 cases are already showing up on Amazon
Apple has reportedly scheduled a special event for September 9, which many suspect it will feature the public debut of the next iPhone. While rumors have swirled for months about the release of Apple's next generation phone, very little has been confirmed about the device officially. Still with the event right around the corner, enterprising accessory dealers have already pounced for early adopter money by listing cases for the "iPhone 6" on Amazon. We would suggest using caution before buying any iPhone 6 cases before the device is formally announced. Currently, every case being sold on Amazon is 4.7" long. While, again, nothing has been confirmed, there are rumors that Apple a larger iPhone. Isn't it worth waiting until the 9th to pick out the case, on the odd chance there's more to the story than these cases imply? Currently several manufacturers, such as i-Blason who already make products for Apple products, have listed iPhone 6 cases on their websites. If Apple announces a larger model iPhone, do you want to buy a case now for the smaller size device? Save your money. In the worst case scenario you'll have to wait a few extra days to have your new case delivered to you. If it saves you the hassle of returning it if we get a surprise on the 9th, the wait will be worth it.
