Compoboy old school hi-fi robot

A lot of you must remember SoundBlaster, the Decepticon Transformer that changed from a robot into a boombox, and stored smaller, cassette-shaped Decepticons in his chest. Well Soundblaster ain't got nothin' on Compoboy, a super-old-school Japanese robot from Popy that begins life as a full hi-fi component rack, circa-1982. Before transforming into a menacing 16-inch bot, Compoboy appears to be an assembly of reel-to-reel decks, vertical record players, cassette decks, speakers, and equilizers. Like many of the other retrobots featured on Alen Yen's ToyboxDX, Compoboy was designed with meticulous attention to detail, and includes tape reels that fire like missles and a completely pointless punch-card-like mechanism. Ah, the days before Robosapien sure were sweet, weren't they? You can see Compoboy pre-transformation after the break.
