We're not sure whether we'll see official PR before then, but it seems that T-Mobile is quietly slipping lucky individuals invites to "executive briefing" events for the upcoming Onyx / 9700 / Bold 2 to be held early next month. Boy Genius Report so far seems to have the inside line on a November 3 date in LA followed by November 5 in the Big Apple, and like pretty much everything else BlackBerry-related, "business casual" attire is suggested. Certainly seems to match up nicely with a November 11 retail launch, doesn't it?

September 9 iPod event gets some corroboration from AppleInsider, still no word from Apple
There wasn't much reason to doubt that September 9 date we'd been hearing for Apple's annual fall iPod event, but now AppleInsider is saying it can independently confirm the date. Sure, it's just a rumor backing up another rumor, but it's more than Apple has to say on the topic so far. Meanwhile, AppleInsider also is backing up word that there won't be a tablet at the event, that an iTunes "social networking" feature of some sort is in the cards, and that the iPods are getting cameras. Not a lot of controversy to be found here, but perhaps a modicum of assurance for folks desperately trying to pin down their iPod events schedule for the next couple of weeks.Apple's iPod event set for September 9th with nary a tablet in sight?

Apple might be planning keynote for week of September 7th, might have new products on offer

We're hearing "multiple sources" are now reporting that Apple is most likely planning a keynote event -- possibly for the week of September 7th. There's also the requisite murmuring that one Steve Jobs may make an appearance -- though of course, there's also nothing more solid than wishes and fairy dust to back that one up. As far as possible product launches go, well, there have been significant whisperings about upcoming iPod / iTunes developments as of late, including the company's reported dealings with major record labels. This would fall in line with Apple's habit of releasing iPods every fall, and we've heard plenty about upcoming iPod touches which boast, among other things -- a camera and microphone. Daring Fireball has also reported that these bad boys will come in 16, 32 and 64GB varieties running $199, $299, and $399, respectively. In more salacious gossip, there's the possible Apple tablet we've been hearing about, but there's no solid word on any products for now. We'll be watching this one closely, we assure you.

HTC showing some new stuff in London on June 24

Update: Here's an interesting clue -- that's a rose on the dude's chest, as in the Rosie interface. Get it, eh? Eh?
Samsung's Giorgio Armani WinMo smartphone to be revealed June 11
Do you speak Italian? We don't either, but we're still pretty sure the above image has something to do with Samsung, Microsoft, and Giorgio Armani, and that the three are set to collide on June 11. Given the earlier talk of a WinMo fashionphone from the trio we're pretty sure what to expect, but wouldn't mind being surprised with some really high-tech business wear. We'll bring you more as it happens, you gadget fashionista you.

Archos event June 11th: 5-inch Android tablet with voice expected
This one's a bit of a stretch but totally plausible. Archos just announced a press conference in Paris on June 11th -- that's a fact. However, the choice of Android-green in the invite above has caused widespread speculation that we'll be getting a first peep at Archos' heavily rumored Android-based device. Remember, TI was kind enough to give us the full specs on a 10-mm thin Archos Internet Media Tablet "with all the functionalities of a premium smartphone" back in February. At that time, TI listed specs like a 5-inch high-resolution screen, Adobe Flash support, TV recording, HD playback, 500GB of storage, 7 hours of video playback off battery, voice and HSUPA data radio all powered by a smokin' OMAP3440 processor from TI. If true then we can expect to see the device hinted at in the invite launch in Q3.

T-Mobile announces April 21st "private launch event" in NYC
Well well well. Well. What do we have here? Apparently the cats and kittens over at T-Mobile have something special planned on Tuesday, April 21st. We've just gotten a very brief email letting us know that something was going down, but without any other detail. Obviously our gadget-alarms started clanging, and the way we see it we've only got a few things to get excited about. Will we see the launch of Cupcake? Could this be the official US unveiling of the Magic? Or perhaps we'll finally get to see the new Sidekick which just hit the FCC. Look -- anything is possible, but whatever happens, we'll be there. What do you guys think is in store?Music-focused event on tap for Nokia this week
Hot on the heels of MWC, it seems Nokia's got another secret that it wants to get off its chest this week. Why the company didn't bundle this announcement with the MWC stuff is unclear -- but with the E55, E75, and N86 all unveiled in Barcelona, maybe they're just looking to give the new gear some spotlight time of its own. Actually, calling this "gear" might be overstepping -- for all we know, Nokia could simply be announcing new Comes With Music markets or something along those lines -- but naturally, our hearts and minds are always pining for new hardware. Look for this to go down at 10:00AM Central European Time on Wednesday the 11th, which works out to a bright 'n early 5AM for you New Yorkers, so bring plenty of coffee with the popcorn. Any good theories?

Amazon Kindle 2 launching on Monday -- we'll be there live!

Amazon to host press event at library, innocently whistling when asked about the Kindle 2
It could mean anything that Amazon is hosting a press event Monday morning, February 9th at the Morgan Library here in New York City. Maybe they just want to talk about how much they enjoy huge archives of original manuscripts and the smell of aged paper. Whatever the case may be, the last time we went to an Amazon event, they ended up launching the Kindle, so it's not crazy to speculate that we very well could see the introduction of a new iteration of the successful e-book. We've pinged the company for more solid word, but it's been radio silence thus far. Of course, we'll be there live covering any news as it breaks, so just plan on being here... or being square.
