'The Boys' season 2 teaser hints at more blood-soaked mayhem
Amazon is ready to show a glimpse of The Boys' second season mere months after greenlighting more episodes... and this most definitely won't be family-friendly. The company has posted a teaser for the season that steers clear of revealing the plot, but makes patently clear that Billy, Hughie and their growing crew will take care of rogue superheroes in the bloodiest way possible -- don't watch if you're squeamish. It's also clear that the new episodes will pick up where the first season left off, including that ending (we don't dare spoil a thing) and Homelander's psychotic brand of patriotism.
'Westworld' season three teaser brings us to Silicon Valley
While the first two Westworld seasons were centered around the use of AI and robotics technology at a sort of vacation getaway, the teaser revealed tonight turns the lens back toward Silicon Valley tech giants. In a promotion linked to the Wired 25 event, the trailer links to a company "Incite Inc." that will apparently feature somehow in the show's third season, which is scheduled to air on HBO in 2020 -- just in time for the launch of HBO Max. The fictional company follows previous Westworld promos we've seen at events like SXSW by having a booth at the event and sponsoring a rooftop cocktail reception.
Ford will reveal its 'Mustang-inspired' electric SUV on November 17th
Ford is nearly finished dribbling out teasers for its Mustang-inspired electric SUV. The automaker now plans a worldwide reveal for the crossover on November 17th. The company still isn't willing to reveal much more of the finished design at this point besides its outline (though you can clearly spot the Mustang influence in the lights). However, there are a few details available at this stage.
OnePlus will unveil the 7T on September 26th
It didn't take long for OnePlus to confirm launch plans for the 7T series -- and it turns out the most recent event rumor was partly true. The phone maker now intends to introduce the OnePlus 7T line at a North American event on September 26th, with Europeans getting a follow-up event on the previously rumored October 10th. There's also an accompanying teaser video to build hype for the phones, although it unsurprisingly doesn't say much beyond offering a brief glimpse of the hardware (pictured above).
Hulu's 'Castle Rock' season 2 teaser shows the origins of 'Misery'
Hulu is at last ready to offer a glimpse at Castle Rock's second season, and it's evident this won't be the feel-good hit of the year. A newly posted teaser for the Stephen King-based anthology focuses on the arrival of a younger version of Misery villain Annie Wilkes (Lizzy Caplan) in Castle Rock as she's "budding" into a full-fledged psychopath. The clip makes clear that Wilkes is acting partly out of a warped sense of duty to her daughter -- not that others (including her daughter) believe her.
Watch Ford’s Mustang-inspired EV crossover race around in the snow
Ford's Mustang-inspired EV crossover is expected to launch in 2020. The company hasn't released too many details, other than that it will have a 370-mile range and fast-charging. But this week, Ford shared two videos of the vehicle in action. The first shows a prototype of the Mustang-inspired ride zipping around Grattan Raceway and brags about the EV's acceleration.
Apple's 'The Morning Show' teaser reveals drama behind the camera
Apple is finally ready to offer a peek at its TV+ tentpole series The Morning Show... if only a brief one. The tech giant has released a teaser trailer that doesn't reveal any actual scenes, but makes it patently clear that there will be a lot of tension beyond the superficial pleasantness of the show-within-a-show. The characters played by Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell and Reese Witherspoon all talk about wanting honesty. However, there's an undeniable power struggle at work -- don't expect them to find peace any time soon.
Amazon's 'Jack Ryan' season 2 teaser includes explosions and intrigue
The deluge of Amazon Prime Video news also includes a treat for Tom Clancy enthusiasts. After a long, long wait, Amazon has posted a teaser trailer for the second season of Jack Ryan. The clip is unsurprisingly light on story, but does suggest the stakes (and stunts) are higher for Jack this time around. The CIA agent will have to grapple with IEDs, rooftop jumps and airborne insertions, not to mention political intrigue that complicates matters.
Apple previews its 'Peanuts' series 'Snoopy in Space'
Apple isn't just using the Apollo 11 anniversary to hype up its live action shows. The tech giant has offered an early look at its Apple TV+ Peanuts cartoons with a short trailer for "Snoopy in Space." The clip underscores Snoopy's usual hijinks (much to the chagrin of Charlie Brown), but it gives you an idea of what to expect. The title will have Charlie and crew visit NASA, where Snoopy and Woodstock have been chosen for a mission.
Microsoft is teasing Windows 1.0, and everyone is confused
Microsoft is up to something. Yesterday the Windows team dropped a sizzler video on Twitter, announcing the "all-new" Windows 1.0. It posted the same video over on its Instagram account, but only after it had wiped every single other post from its page. The video winds backwards through the catalog of Windows logos, before eventually settling on the Windows 1.0 design, which is now being used across all of its social channels.
Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Note 10 on August 7th
The rumors were true -- Samsung has announced that it's holding its second Unpacked event of the year on August 7th at 4PM Eastern in Brooklyn's Barclays Center. The company hasn't said anything about what to expect, but the pen-centric teaser image (above) doesn't leave much to the imagination. The Galaxy Note 10 will clearly be the star of the show, and it's just a matter of pinning down the finer details.
BMW teases M concept car blending technology and performance
Can you make out what you're looking at in the obscure teaser above? Neither can we -- but it does represent the future of BMW's performance cars. The automaker has posted a teaser for a Vision M Next concept that, as the name implies, would explore the possibilities for M-series cars. The imagery doesn't hint at much more than some angular lines and a gray-and-red color scheme. There's thankfully more to it than that, though -- BMW made clear that technology would play a central role in this design.
Gearbox officially announces 'Borderlands 3'
After several teasers over the last few weeks, Gearbox Software officially revealed Borderlands 3 at Pax East. The first trailer reveals the long-awaited sequel will include over a billion guns (including some with legs), plenty of familiar faces (such as a saxophone-playing Brick and Tiny Tina) and some new characters. It also showcases a number of locations, including a swamp, desert and city full of highrise buildings, as well as plenty of enemies for you to take down.
Gearbox teases 'Borderlands 3' with a cryptic trailer
The official unveiling for Borderlands 3 is a mere day away as we write this, but that isn't stopping Gearbox from trying to further whet your appetite. The studio has posted a "Mask of Mayhem" teaser trailer that whips around a giant static scene that raises as many questions as it answers. The clip shows multiple new personalities among likely returning characters like Brick, Claptrap, Moxxi and Tiny Tina. More importantly, there are loads of cryptic clues -- you'll want to pause the video many times to catch everything.
Ford drops an electric blue Mustang teaser on Tesla's festivities
Just as Tesla's scheduled Model Y reveal kicked off, Ford (the company Elon Musk said killed his S-E-X-Y naming scheme by blocking the Model E name) had something to show the people. It didn't provide any details at all, but this curiously-colored Mustang logo looks like a hint of electrification coming to one of the few cars Ford still makes. It could be a nod to the Mach 1 / "Mach-E" electric performance SUV due in 2020 with a name hijacked from a famous Mustang, something related to a hybrid Mustang that's in the works, or maybe both? Ford confirmed to Autoblog that a hybrid Mustang is set for release in 2020, showed off a coupe with a similarly-colored logo in one of its ads and could enhance its "EcoBoost" turbocharged engines by adding some batteries. With the speedy Model Y slated to go on sale in late 2020, the prospect of additional competition is an intriguing one.
Gearbox teases 'Borderlands 3' reveal on March 28th
Yes, an honest-to-goodness Borderlands sequel (not a pre-sequel) appears to be on the horizon. Gearbox has posted a teaser for what's likely to be the Borderlands 3 reveal at PAX East on March 28th. It doesn't say much about the game, but there's not much mystery here -- not when it features Borderlands' signature cell-shaded art and a "3" at the top.

'Game of Thrones' teaser trailer hypes up the final season
Following some subtle teasers and brief clips, HBO has at least revealed the release date and a substantial teaser for Games of Thrones' final season. The minute-and-a-half long clip shows the remaining Stark children meeting up in the family crypt and receiving ghostly council from Ned Stark and other deceased family members. The description states that "Game of Thrones returns for its final season on April 14."
Olympus is launching a high-end sports-oriented camera this month
All the camera excitement of 2018 mostly bypassed Olympus, but the venerated camera maker is looking to start 2019 with a bang. It will unveil what looks to be a very fast, rugged sports-oriented camera -- possibly a successor to the OM-D EM-1 Mark II -- on January 24th, 2019.
Audi teases its E-Tron GT sedan
Audi has teased the E-Tron GT sedan, and confirmed that it will reveal the entire car tomorrow, November 28th, at the LA Auto Show, according to Bild. The E-Tron GT will be Audi's flagship EV and, as reported earlier this year, based on Porsche's Taycan (formerly Mission E) platform.
