If there's one thing that Pornhub is good at that doesn't involve a satisfying break from work, it's getting people to pay attention to its plans. The company's latest attempt to remind everyone where to get their action from comes in the form of Bang Fit, which purports to be a smartphone-based sexercise platform. The idea, as far as the site is concerned, is that getting down and dirty is a better way to workout than whatever your personal trainer can tell you to do. Plus, it has the added benefit of keeping you relaxed and connected with yourself and your significant other(s).

Every International Women's Day, a chorus of snippy men ask where's their equivalent day of celebration. For the last few years, British comedian Richard Herring has led a one-man quest to get them to shut up and stop whining, because International Men's Day is November 19th. The reason we bring this up, of course, is when news broke of a smart kegel exerciser for women, you can imagine the sort of comments that followed. Now, thankfully, Minna Life, creators of the original kGoal, is back to shut up everyone who's ever wanted a smartphone-controlled kegel exerciser for men. Say hello to the kGoal Boost.

A common complaint from women about tampons is that wearing one is annoying and messy. On top of that, every time one is used, there's a risk of contracting Toxic Shock Syndrome, a life-threatening bacterial infection. It's one of the reasons that menstrual cups have entered mainstream use, since they do the same job without the risk, they're cheaper and kinder for the environment. These cups are now getting a smartphone-style upgrade thanks to the folks at Loon Lab. The firm claims to have created the world's first "smart" menstrual cup that can provide unprecedented insights into a user's reproductive health.

Much like OK Cupid, Pornhub has access to a large repository of data concerning our most private and intimate desires. Every now and again, both sites like to reveal some statistics about what we like to get up to when nobody else is watching. Today, Pornhub is delving deep into its servers to look at the meteoric rise of smartphones over the last five years and what, if anything, your choice of smartphone says about your habits. Are iOS and Android users that different in what they like to get off to? You betcha, but for propriety's sake, we'll leave all of the grisly details until after the break. Adults only from here on out.

If you've ever googled the phrase "Netflix for Porn," you'll find more than a few people wishing for a one-stop shop to satisfy their sexual peccadilloes. Pornhub is hoping to fill that hole by relaunching its premium offering as a $9.99 monthly subscription service that boasts a wide range of HD content. The business contains all of the usual features you'd expect including 1080p video, high-speed servers and exclusive content that, we're told, you won't find anywhere else.

If there's one website that knows how to combine technology and savvy public relations stunts, it's Pornhub. The company behind the WankBand is gearing up to launch another piece of hardware in the form of TwerkingButt, an adult toy that promises to set a "new benchmark in sexual stimulation." Which is a ten-dollar way of saying that it's a robotic butt that vibrates when it's plugged in. Thanks to CyberSkin technology, the unit will even warm itself to a temperature of 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit to match that of a human body.

"I know that we can't change people's behavior," says Irina Rymshina, "but in later life they may want children and they certainly don't want cancer. I think that we can help them." She's talking about Hoope, a wearable device that, it's hoped, will be able to put an STD clinic on your thumb. If successful, then you can say goodbye to the idea of having to pee in a cup to make sure that you can go out this weekend.

Using Bittorrent to pirate brand-new movies and TV is nothing new, but Popcorn Time's genius was to wrap the activity in an easy-to-use, Netflix-esque bundle. Naturally, it was only a matter of time before someone used the system's freely available technology to build the exact same system, but, you know, for porn. The unimaginatively named Porn Time does exactly what you think it does, letting you pull down high-resolution grot and push them to your TV via a Chromecast or Airplay device. We would test it, but a) this is an AOL-owned computer and we don't want to be fired, and b) the creators should have, surely, called it PopPorn Time. Right? [Image Credit: Getty]

There are fitness trackers for your head, torso, wrist and calves, and then there are fitness trackers for your genitals. Drawing inspiration from Bondara's conceptual SexFit, Lovely is a cock ring wearable device that'll pull triple duty as an erotic toy, priapic activity monitor and sexual performance coach. Simply slide your penis into the hardware, get banging away and, when you're done, a mobile app will tell you your score. Statistics that are recorded by the device include the calories you've burned, the force of your thrusting and even your top speed. The software will even look at your performance and come up with one of 120 new positions that you can try next time out.

The attic room is sparsely furnished, with just a bed, a side table and a bookcase made from cheap plywood, shelves sagging from overuse. It's sufficiently cold in here that clouds of vapor peel from my lips, but the location, at least, offers the privacy I need. After balancing my laptop on some books, with the webcam strategically pointed above waist-height, I slide my trousers down and pull out the ominous, black cylinder from a bag. It's a Kiiroo Onyx, a $249 teledildonic device that, the company promises, will enable me to have sex with my significant other (or anyone else) through the internet.

It may sound like a high-end department store, but Ashley Madison is actually a hookup network for people who want some extra-marital, no-strings attached sex. As much as we pretend that the site caters to a small niche, the truth is that its parent company is struggling to keep up with the demand. That's why it's reportedly preparing to go public in the hope of raising $200 million to fund international expansion.

Mainstream dating services like Tinder, Grindr or OK Cupid don't make it too easy to admit if your tastes are "very singular." That's why Whiplr has been created as a hookup app for people who prefer to get off with more than just a special cuddle. Simply offer up a picture of your face, a nickname and a list of extra-curricular interests and you'll instantly be pointed to members in the local vicinity, arranged by distance.

If someone forced you to describe RealTouch Interactive in just two words, you'd probably call it a "digital brothel." And rightly so, as the North Carolina-based business specializes in teledildonics, wearable gadgets that let people "have sex" through the internet; a technology that lets paying customers connect with consenting partners online. In 2012, RealTouch was on the rise, getting featured in HBO's Sex/Now documentary series and Amazon's original comedy series Betas. But despite the positive press, the company's fortunes took a nosedive. RealTouch found itself unable to sell its hardware and, what's more, it is now catering to a dwindling group of existing customers. It wasn't the moral majority, however, that pushed the sex-tech outfit to the brink of collapse. It was patent licensing.

There are many ways to tell someone that you love them. If they're not into flowers, chocolates or steak dinners, however, then you might just have to spice things up in the bedroom with an erotic device that's a little more exciting than a Magic Wand. After all, we live in a sane, mature society that can appreciate two (or more) people getting it on, don't we? Hell, when the biggest movie release on Valentine's Day is the story of a sociopath who uses BDSM to coerce a naive partner into doing whatever he wants with her, you know we're through the looking glass. That's why we here at Engadget have decided to pull together a list of the smartest, cleverest and maddest ways to tell your other halves to go fuck themselves -- in the nicest possible way, of course.
