Quick, hide the plasma TV!
We sort of thought that the whole point of buying a huge plasma or LCD display was to show it off, but apparently there are those who disagree. The BEI Motorized Artwork System turns your display into a picture frame for a work of art. And, no, we're not talking digitized art, like BillG has in his modest home. This thing actually uses a rolled up piece of canvas with a reproduction of one of over 300 paintings, which slides down over your screen at the touch of a button. While it does have a sort of Cold War spy appeal to it — we can easily envision Napoleon Solo using one of these — we'd still prefer to go the digital route, especially since this will set you back a minimum of $2,600.
