You can also play music and power devices, which could come in handy for tailgating too.

BioLite launches disaster preparedness kits in time for hurricane season
Even though Hurricane Dorian has slowed down, the storm has left behind plenty of damage in its wake. Given that hurricane season lasts until November, it's a wise idea to stock up in the event of another natural disaster. BioLite has launched a set of disaster preparedness bundles for use during a power outage. Each bundle contains solar-powered lights, chargers, headlamps and a water filtration straw. The kits come in three sizes; solo, family and apartment.

Engadget’s guide to all the outdoor gear you need this summer
If you're reading this at a desk, take a moment to stand up and locate your nearest window. You might see a street, a garden or even some fields. Whatever your current view, you are peering at the edge of the great outdoors, and adventure is beckoning. But this is Engadget, and we believe there aren't many things in life that a sprinkling of gear can't improve -- and that includes the time you typically reserve to escape a screen (ironic, we know).

Airstream has extended its team-up with AT&T to make LTE access available to any Airstream trailer, not just the 2019 Classic. If you want to connect your Basecamp or Globetrotter while you're camping, it's just a question of paying up.
Airstream’s Nest is a cozy, futuristic trailer

Tesla 'party and camper mode' turns EVs into tailgating machines
Teslas are nothing if not giant batteries on wheels, so it would only make sense if you could use the battery for something other than getting from A to B, wouldn't it? You will soon. Elon Musk has teased the future addition of a "party & camper mode" that will keep the car's climate systems, "selective" lights, audio and device-powering features alive for "48 hours or more" while the car is stationary. Yes, you could host an all-day tailgate party with your Model X while the music keeps pumping and your phone stays charged.
BioLite's FirePit goes beyond the camping grill
Relaxing and staring at fire is a primordial pleasure, but one that's often isolated to camping trips. It also inevitably leads to burger and hot dog cravings. While your average campfire -- a flaming stack of logs surrounded by rocks or rusty metal -- can be a challenge to cook on, BioLite's new FirePit provides a best-of-both-worlds solution. It's a portable grill station that doubles as a warming and hypnotic flame source, opening up opportunities beyond the campsite. The product is an 20-pound fire pit with folding legs and perforated "X-Ray Mesh" sides for heat distribution and flame visibility. There's also a Bluetooth-controllable fan attachment that helps expedite and regulate combustion, which is excellent for getting charcoal to red-hot ember status quickly. BioLite is introducing the $200 device on Kickstarter today with a May 2018 ship date, but I recently had a chance to check out one of the prototypes and eat a few tasty burgers along the way.
BioLite's new off-the-grid gear doubles down on power and light
BioLite released most of its 2017 product line today, spearheaded by the new and improved CampStove 2. All the products share common design features, centered around either battery improvements, expanded lighting possibilities, or both. Along with the redesigned stove, which now includes onboard power storage, there's a double-wide solar panel, heavy duty portable batteries and, in the spirit of keeping you charged up, a coffee press. The company has also expanded its NanoGrid lighting system by adding a collapsible and hangable diffusion light, a scaled-down version of the daisy-chainable SiteLight series and the long-awaited arrival of the BaseLantern.
'Final Fantasy XV' is actually a cookbook
Food is plays a central role in Final Fantasy XV -- and it's not just obvious Cup Noodle product placement, either. Meals add to your vitality and strength, increase magical resistances and even offer the chance of more experience points to grow your team. They're integral to your near-daily camp-outs, when you recover from battles and thumb through all the photos your bros took. Each dish has different benefits, and there are a lot of ways to learn new meals, from eating your way around the restaurants of the world of Eos to buying cookbooks and even just being "inspired" by poetry and random ingredients (often monster body parts) you pick up along the way. FFXV also attempts to offer some sort of regional differentiation in cuisine as you road-trip across states and towns. Some dishes are more elaborate twists on meals you've already eaten, but they're nonetheless different, with different local fish or delicacies. But is it actually possible to cook such varied cuisine, from rice balls to delicate sweet pastries, on (Coleman-sponsored!) cooking equipment? I took my high-school home-economics skills to my kitchen to see how I stacked up against Ignis, the game's designated cook. He's a glasses-wearing, English-accented, car-driving butler type. And now, my eternal rival.
Essential Camping Gadgets For Survival
Regardless of the type of trip, you are taking soonest; there are a lot of exciting gadgets that can help you stay safe and have fun.
Getting lost in the woods isn't so bad with this tech
A walk through the woods. It sounds wonderful. Birds chirping, deer frolicking off in the distance, the majesty of the trees, the opportunity to get lost and drink river water that ties your stomach in knots. Hiking doesn't have to be a combination of pure joy and fear of succumbing to the dangers of being outside.
Cooking in the great outdoors
Camping is a wonderful way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the overly stimulating modern world. If you're fortunate, you'll venture beyond cell coverage for a distraction-free trip into the wild. It's wonderful... until you realize you can't get a pizza delivered.
BioLite camp stove add-on can cook wood-fired pizza
BioLite's latest add-on for its BaseCamp stove is perfect for outdoorsy types sick of eating chili and hotdogs while exploring the great outdoors. It's an oven that goes right on top of BaseCamp, and you can use it to make wood-fired pizza, flatbreads and other food you can bake. The company calls this oven the PizzaDome, because let's face it -- it might be capable of cooking other food, but you're going to use it to make pizza. It's comprised of a built-in thermometer, a ceramic stone to keep things evenly cooked and a lid to keep heat from escaping.
