Back in 1970, a company called Hamilton launched the first digital wristwatch ever, and it became such a huge hit Roger Moore wore it as James Bond in Live And Let Die. Now, the historic wristwatch is back, with some modern upgrades, for its 50th anniversary. The Hamilton PSR looks just like the Pulsar Time Computer -- that's what the original watch was called -- and even uses a similar pushbutton illumination system.

Netflix doesn't have much in the way of theater productions on its streaming platform, with Bruce Springsteen's one-man Broadway show perhaps being the most notable. However, the service is drawing from the stage for an upcoming movie, as it's set to adapt the play The Boys in the Band.

'Hamilton' battles ticket bots with a hand from Ticketmaster

The people behind Hamilton aren't just counting on laws to combat ticket bots -- they're enlisting the help of the ticket providers as well. Ticketmaster has revealed that it will use its recent Verified Fan feature to give you a better chance of seeing Hamilton, the Schuyler sisters and Burr strut on a Broadway stage between March and August 2018. As with other Verified Fan plays, like Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the process has fans registering on a website to signal their interest -- Ticketmaster then combs over registrations based on data and sends codes via text message to those who pass scrutiny.

Hamilton: An American Musical is the most popular Broadway production in recent memory, and now it's coming to your phone -- beyond the soundtrack (and mixtape) you've had on repeat the last two years. Hamilton: The Official App has just about everything a fan could ask for including $10 ticket lotteries, a merch store, stickers and updates from Lin-Manuel Miranda himself. And yes, you can even put yourself on the $10 bill or don your favorite Schulyer sister's dress. It's all very zeitgeisty and best of all, available on Android and iOS.

We're all a bit more versed in American history these days, thanks in great part to playwright and composer Lin-Manuel Miranda and his award-winning hip-hop-infused musical, Hamilton. The Hamilton Education Program will bring 5,000 disadvantaged students from Title I schools in New York and the Bay Area to see the musical today as the culmination of a six-week curriculum to learn more about the era of our founding fathers. To support the project, the Gilder Lehrman Institute (one partner of the program) is launching six new virtual reality tours on Google Expeditions.

Unless you've been living under the proverbial rock for the last year or so, you've likely heard of the musical sensation Hamilton (16-time Tony nominee) and its creator / star Lin-Manuel Miranda. As it turns out, Miranda isn't just an American history buff -- he's also a pretty serious Star Wars fan. He managed to squeeze time into his busy schedule last year to compose a song for The Force Awakens called "Jabba Flow," heard in the cantina in Maz's castle.

  • Rogers LTE hits 18 new regions, delivers speedy data in Saskatoon

Rogers promised that October 1st would be a grand day for its LTE expansion plans, and we're now learning that it might have been underpromising to overdeliver later. The carrier just flicked the 4G switch for 18 cities and regions, or eight more territories than it had promised just two weeks ago. Most of the coverage still focuses on the southern tip of Ontario, including London, the Oshawa area and RIM's hometown of Waterloo, but there's a much more trans-Canada bent to the official deployment. Western cities like Saskatoon and Victoria now fit into Rogers' LTE map beyond a previously announced Edmonton, while the Quebec rollout is going past Quebec City to include Sherbrooke and Trois-Rivières. All told, the one day of growth is enough to supply Rogers LTE to almost 60 percent of Canada's population -- a convenient figure when one of the year's more important LTE smartphones just became available less than two weeks prior. [Thanks, Jon]
