When a phone has been leaked this extensively, it's hard to develop much enthusiasm for a device that you're already familiar with. Google has, however, finally announced its 2019 flagship smartphones, the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, at its late-2019 Made by Google event. The two new devices are focused around "natural interactions," with new colors and finishes, and some truly innovative photography features.

Google's new Pixelbook Go wasn't as heavily leaked as the Pixel 4, but we still had a pretty good idea of what to expect from the company's next Chromebook. Today, Google has officially confirmed what we saw last week — the Pixelbook Go is a fairly standard-looking laptop, at least compared to the original Pixelbook and Pixel Slate that Google has released the past two autumns.

The Pixel 4 wasn't the only secret Google couldn't keep from spilling all over the internet. Another device, the Nest WiFi, has been leaked a couple of times before the company's Made by Google event in New York City today. But now it's official. As rumored, Google's new Nest WiFi can be paired to "points," aka beacons, that will help extend the range of your wireless network at home. Not only that, but these Nest WiFi points can double as smart speakers, making them compatible with Google Assistant. This means you'll be able to use your voice to control your WiFi setup, like if you ever want to say "Hey Google, pause WiFi for kids devices."

One of Google's other worst-kept secrets just became official. Google has unveiled the Nest Mini, a long-expected update to the Home Mini that offers more tweaks than you might have suspected based on leaks. There is a wall mount (the better to keep it out of reach of kids), but that's really just the start. The smart speaker has been tuned to produce a much fuller sound, including twice-as-strong bass. You can also expect three microphones instead of two, increasing the chances the Mini will hear you correctly the first time.

The new true wireless Pixel Buds are always listening

To say that Google's Pixel Buds were "maligned" is putting it lightly. We even said that, compared to the competition (most notably Apple's AirPods), they felt unfinished. But Google is giving it another go, with a truly wireless pair. The new Pixel Buds (no number differentiator here) don't look terribly different from the originals, but this time there's no cable connecting the two. And they have a nice two tone finish that matches the colors of the new Pixel phones. Google claims it's also improved the fit. A number of reviewers complained that the originals weren't terribly comfortable to wear over long periods of time. But the fit here has supposedly been reengineered and they sit flush with your ear, instead of sticking out like some sort of high-tech costume jewelry (or a Q-Tip broken in half).

Yes, it's finally time -- A month after the invitations went out, the next Made by Google event is upon us. You can watch the livestream here starting at 10AM Eastern in addition to following our liveblog. There's a lot expected at this event, and the Pixel 4 phones are really just the beginning of what's on tap. Many anticipate a more capable Nest Mini smart speaker, a Nest WiFi system with voice control beacons and a Pixelbook Go laptop. And that's not including new Google Assistant tricks or other developments. Google still tends to have a few surprises in store at these events even after all the leaks, so it's worth tuning in if you want to catch everything.

We're less than a day away from the start of Google's 2019 fall hardware event, but that doesn't mean the leaks have to stop. WinFuture's Roland Quandt, a frequent leaker with a solid track record, just shared official-looking images of Google's upcoming Nest-branded Home Mini refresh.

Pixelbook Go leak reveals its ribbed back, full specs

A month after exposing Google's next laptop as the Pixelbook Go, 9to5Google has extensive pictures and even a hands-on video with the device. The pictures show off a prototype laptop -- held by a person wearing the "Jacquard by Google" Levi's jacket -- in a "Not Pink" colorway, with its lid that has a smooth finish similar to some Pixel phones, and its oddly textured underside that's even more deeply colored -- all the better to show off its standout ribs. The keyboard is similar to the earlier Pixelbook model, while its front-facing speakers are apparently capable of quality sound output. There are USB-C ports on each side each with a charging light and one 3.5mm headphone jack to the left -- it's not dead yet. The design isn't far off from Apple's laptops, but if Google is trying to show what a standard-bearer Chrome OS machine can be then this looks like a good attempt.
