Fallout 4 isn't the only Bethesda title getting the VR treatment. During Sony's E3 keynote on Monday, the company confirmed leaks from earlier in the week that it is also porting Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to the PSVR. Unfortunately, there's no word on when the game will actually be released.

'The Inpatient' takes you into a mental asylum on PlayStation VR

It seems that Supermassive Games, the developers behind Until Dawn, has been busy lately. Not only is it delivering another social game with Hidden Agenda, it's also working on a PlayStation VR title, The Inpatient. We still don't know much about it, but judging from the E3 teaser, it places you inside a mental asylum where things are slightly ... off. The game looks aesthetically similar to Until Dawn, but we hope it'll be deeper than the PS VR spinoff of that title. If anything, it looks like a wonderfully creepy environment to explore within the confines of a VR headset.

The next 'God of War' comes to PS4 in early 2018

When Sony teased us with a new God of War game at last year's E3, its presentation was almost perfect. The 10-minute gameplay reveal had almost everything: the return of Kratos, alive and well after the events of God of War III; a beautiful environment; thrilling combat; an epic beard; and, most important, a strong indication of character development. Not only were we getting the Destroyer of Worlds back, but we were seeing a more human side of Kratos. The only thing missing from the reveal was a release window. A year later at E3 2017, we finally have one. God of War for PlayStation 4 will be available in early 2018.

  • A new 'Shadow of the Colossus' HD remake is coming in 2018

PlayStation 4 users are getting a new remake of Shadow of the Colossus next year, Sony announced at its E3 2017 keynote today. The action-adventure game originally came out in 2005 for the PlayStation 2 and was remastered in 2011 with "high-definition" graphics. But lots of things have changed since then, with consoles like the PS4 becoming increasingly more powerful, so you can't blame Sony for wanting to take another stab at such a classic title. And if the first Shadow of the Colussus trailer is any indication, this remake promises to be much better than the last. There's no specific release date, but at least you know it's (hopefully) coming at some point in 2018.

'Matterfall' brings frantic sci-fi shooting to PS4 on August 15th

Wondering when you'll get to see Matterfall, the next side-scroller from the Resogun creators at Housemarque? You won't have to wait too long. Housemarque and Sony have revealed that Matterfall will reach the PS4 on August 15th. It's not quite as visually luscious as the 2015 trailer suggested (that was clearly a cinematic scene meant to whet your appetite), but it still looks tantalizing if you're a fan of Housemarque's frantic shooters.

Pacifist RPG 'Undertale' heading to PS4 and Vita

If you've never looked at a PC as a gaming device, you might have missed one of 2015's best, most unexpected RPG hits: Undertale. It is a quirky, independent game that billed itself as "the friendly RPG where nobody has to die," but it is more than a pacifist adventure -- it's a role-playing game that made every encounter a puzzle, a joke and a moral choice. Sound like your jam? Worry not: Sony just announced at E3 that the game is coming to PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.

If you're a Monster Hunter from way back, you'll likely be excited to know that Capcom's latest iteration, Monster Hunter World, is set for release in early 2018. The trailer was unveiled onstage at Sony's PlayStation Live experience at E3 in Los Angeles, revealing a lush environment with reptilian monsters large and small, plus a huge fire-breathing bird-thing that shows up just in time to help the hunter get away from a big scent-carnivore. Monster Hunter World will appear on Xbox One at the same time, with a PC release sometime later.

Ahead of Sony's highly anticipated E3 address Monday, Bandai Namco confirmed that its sequel to 2013's Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch will arrive on November 10th. The story follows young King Evan as he attempts to rebuild the Kingdom of Ding Dong Dell after an attempted coup.

Zombies aren't the only threat in 'Days Gone'

They're called "infected" in The Last of Us, "feral ghouls" in Fallout and "unmentionables" in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. But put aside labels and physical differences, and they're all the same: terrifying horde monsters. In Days Gone, they're called "freakers," and there are a lot of them. This open-world survival game made its debut at E3 2016 with an action-packed trailer that took zombie hordes in gaming to a new level, but left us wanting for details. The gameplay looked great, but the demo lacked something of a human connection. Today, Sony showed us a bit more: a taste of the game's open world as Decon St. John's human rides his motorbike across the game's vast landscape on a quest to rescue a friend. Not from freakers, though -- from other people.

Horizon Zero Dawn is undoubtedly one of the best titles in this console generation, and if you haven't gotten enough of the massive game, Sony has some good news for you. An expansion, titled The Frozen Wilds, is set to launch later this year. An all-too-brief trailer was just shown off at Sony's big E3 press conference -- and as the name suggests, you're fully out in the wilderness here, making your way through a frozen tundra.

Just last year, Superhot VR came out for PC and consoles with a fancy new game mechanic: Time moves only when you do. The virtual-reality version came out for Oculus Rift last October with a couple of twists -- chiefly, the player stays in one place while the enemies advance. In the PlayStation pre-show today, the company announced that Superhot VR will be coming to Sony's PSVR system "in a couple of weeks."

At this year's E3, Microsoft and Sony have different approaches. As tradition dictates, Xbox got out of the gates first yesterday, but the console (and that "Scorpio" upgrade) had more to prove than PlayStation, which has been leading the market for several years now. So what will Sony's 2017 plans involve? If the past few years are any indication, the company will probably stay focused completely on the games. We reckon we'll hear news about the next Uncharted, hopefully something about that Last Of Us sequel, and an update on how Kratos is faring as a father in the next God Of War. Oh, and PlayStation VR: How's that doing?

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is one of the hottest games in the PC multiplayer scene (it dominates Twitch streams), but calling it unfinished would be an understatement. There's one map, limited movement options and many bugs -- we've seen games where all the buildings disappeared, for starters. However, the game is growing up quickly. In an interview with PC Gamer, Bluehole's Brendan Greene (aka PlayerUnknown himself) has shown off previously teased upgrades to the last-one-standing shooter that should flesh out its experience.

It might surprise you to learn that Dell is one of the best monitor makers around. At E3 today, the company announced that it's taking its display expertise deeper into the gaming arena with the launch of new Alienware monitors. They sport the brand's more elaborate aesthetic, but most importantly, they pack in fast refresh rates and support for either NVIDA's G-SYNC technology or AMD's Freesync (which reduces image tearing and choppinesss). Additionally, Alienware is launching a new suite of accessories, and it's bringing Intel and AMD's most powerful CPUs to its flagship Area 51 desktop.

Logitech gives gamers a reason to like wireless mice

Ask dedicated gamers why they prefer wired mice over wireless and you'll hear two familiar refrains: Even a little wireless lag can be unacceptably high, and it's no fun to plug in or swap batteries mid-match. Logitech may have found a way to kill both birds with one stone. The company is introducing a pair of technologies, Lightspeed and Powerplay, that theoretically make wireless gaming mice practical even if you depend on pinpoint accuracy. Lightspeed uses "end-to-end signal optimization" to cut latency down to a single millisecond, while the Powerplay system (above) relies on magnetic resonance to continuously charge your mouse. In short, it should perform about as well as a wired mouse without that pesky cord getting in the way.

Hey, Blizzard: you're not the only developer that can remaster a classic real-time strategy game. Microsoft has unveiled Age of Empires: Definitive Edition, a rework of Ensemble Studio's history-based conquer-the-map title. Graphics and sound get the obvious improvements with 4K resolution support, higher-detail visuals and a remastered soundtrack, but there are some functional improvements, too. There's a new narrative, Xbox Live multiplayer, new zoom levels (no more panning around to see a large-scale fight) and other unspecified gameplay improvements.

Intel wants to make competitive VR a reality

Virtual reality doesn't have much of a foothold in the eSports world. You can watch tournaments in VR, but competing in VR? Almost unheard of. Intel wants to change that: It's teaming up with Oculus and long-time partner ESL to kick off the VR Challenger League. The competitive gaming series will have players donning headsets to take each other on through Insomniac's The Unspoken and Ready at Dawn's Echo Arena. The league will start with online-only competition in July, but the finalists will square off in person at the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship in 2018.

In the spirit of games like "Skylanders," "Disney Infinity" and "LEGO Dimensions", Ubisoft Toronto announced at E3 on Monday that it's jumping into the toys-to-life genre with "Starlink: Battle for Atlas". In Starlink, you command a fleet of talented space pilots in their defense of the Atlas star system against a legion of robotic invaders. And this game isn't just a series of space battles, you'll be able to seamlessly travel between seven unique worlds, explore them and then jump back into the cosmos for more fighting.

‘Beyond Good & Evil 2’ is really happening

It's happening. It's really happening. We can't believe it's real, but it is: Beyond Good & Evil 2. At Ubisoft's E3 press conference, the long-awaited sequel was finally re-revealed with a brand new CG trailer. It starts with an anthropomorphic pig (is that Pey'j?) trying to strike a deal with a monkey in a rundown bar. It quickly turns sour, allowing the primate to escape with a mysterious woman on a hoverbike. The scene then peels back to reveal a clunky sci-fi city built on top of rustic temples with broken and abandoned parts. It ends with the pair returning to a secret spaceship nestled in a misty valley, before blasting off in search of a mythical paradise.
