Experience

After graduate school, Cherlynn joined Laptop Magazine and began a career of thoroughly testing and writing about gadgets. She developed an expertise in mobile devices, particularly phones, laptops, and wearables, all while accumulating the industry experience that would go on to inform her subsequent coverage of consumer technology. Cherlynn joined Engadget in 2016 as reviews editor, where she honed her writing and voice, developing a natural, conversational style with which to convey her thoughts on tech. Today, as the team's managing editor, she has a hand in everything Engadget does, from the daily grind of news and reviews to guiding the site's overall strategy and voice.

Education

Cherlynn graduated with her master's degree in journalism from Columbia University.
