Dave is a freelance Engadget contributor who specializes in computing, gaming, and television technology. He started his career writing for PlayStation 2 magazines in his native UK, before forging a career of over 15 years in games journalism. Dave has since covered broader consumer technology, with a particular focus on OLED TVs and PC hardware. Since 2008, his work has been featured in publications like Rolling Stone, IGN, PC Gamer, Edge Magazine, Tech Radar, Tom's Guide and MakeUseOf. Dave spends most of his time dreaming about Jurassic Park and obsessing over his beloved Arsenal.

Dave has a bachelor's degree in journalism from Edinburgh's Napier University.
