    Eli Roth’s studio is making five horror series for Facebook Watch

    Last fall, Crypt TV announced it would convert its Webby Award-winning short The Birch into a 15-episode horror series for Facebook Watch. The digital studio, founded by Eli Roth and Jack Davis, isn't stopping there. According to Deadline, Crypt TV and Facebook are teaming up to bring a total of five horror series to the platform.

    Amazon plans series based on the Jack Reacher novels

    Amazon is reportedly working on a series based on Jack Reacher, the character from Lee Child's bestselling crime-thriller novels. According to Deadline, Amazon Studios landed the rights to develop a script-to-series drama. Scorpion creator Nick Santora will write, executive produce and serve as the series' showrunner.

    Snapchat launches Creator Shows with Serena Williams and Kevin Hart

    In the last year, the time spent watching Shows on Snapchat has tripled. The company wants to take advantage of that. Today, it announced Creator Shows, a new format that will deliver regularly published content from some of Snapchat's most popular stars. It's also adding a Highlights feature, which will let Creators add longer-lasting photos and videos to their profiles.

    'Gremlins' is coming back as an animated series

    Gremlins, the 1984 comedy horror film that famously spawned the PG-13 rating, is coming back. WarnerMedia has confirmed that it will produce an animated series called Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai. Set in 1920s Shanghai, the 10-episode prequel, written by Tze Chun, will tell the story of the mysterious shop owner Mr. (Sam) Wing. The plot will follow 10-year-old Sam and street thief Elle, and detail how he met Gizmo, the adorable Mogwai who can morph into a not-so-adorable army of evil Gremlins.

    CBS All Access show 'The Good Fight' comes to TV June 16th

    When The Good Fight debuted on CBS All Access, it became the streaming service's first exclusive show. It's kept audiences hooked since 2017 and was recently renewed for a fourth season. Now, season one is coming to CBS, meaning you'll be able to view the first episodes without an All Access subscription.

    WarnerMedia is slowly developing its own content for its upcoming streaming service, as Pitch Perfect's Anna Kendrick will star in and produce a half-hour romantic comedy series called Love Life, according to Deadline. Each season, the series will follow a new main character's quest for love, with a different relationship each episode. Kendrick will star in the first season, and series creator Sam Boyd will direct.     Netflix packed May with new movies like Wine Country, the animated series Tuca and Bertie, a Ted Bundy biopic and more. Now, it's bringing just as much new content and star power to June. In just the first half of the month, Netflix will release season five of Black Mirror -- a three episode run, which you can watch trailers for now -- and the third and final season of Jessica Jones.

    With season five of Black Mirror set to debut on June 5th, Netflix released trailers for each of the season's three episodes. They star Anthony Mackie and Miley Cyrus -- along with Topher Grace, Andrew Scott and Pom Klementieff. The show sticks to its critical stance on humanity's relationship with technology and features a voice-enabled robot pal gone awry and drama intertwined with meditation, fertility and dating apps. As Black Mirror Executive Producer Annabel Jones told Entertainment Weekly, the three episodes are socially relevant and have the show's signature "sense of mischief and romp."

    Ron Howard and George Lucas might reboot 'Willow' as series for Disney+

    The cult-classic fantasy movie Willow (directed by Ron Howard) might be revived as a series for the upcoming Disney+ streaming service. According to Deadline, Howard has said Jon Kasdan -- who worked with Howard as a writer on Solo: A Star Wars Story -- has been pushing for a reboot on Disney+. Apparently, Howard and George Lucas have long talked about the potential for a Willow series, which might give them an opportunity to build on existing characters.

    Hulu's adaptation of the classic novel Catch 22, directed by and starring George Clooney, premieres May 17th. In the meantime, you can catch a glimpse of Clooney barking orders in his role as Scheisskopf, thanks to the trailer released yesterday. Opposite Clooney, you'll see Christopher Abbott as Yossarian, a bombardier trapped in the maddening military bylaw, and Kyle Chandler as the power-hungry Colonel Cathcart.

    It's been one year since Netflix stirred up controversy around the Cannes Film Festival. For those who don't remember, when a new rule banned any movie from competition that didn't have a theatrical run, Netflix decided not to screen anything at all. Netflix won't return this year either, but it looks like Amazon may fill its shoes. According to Deadline, Amazon's new TV series Too Old to Die Young is expected at Cannes next month. That makes it only the third episodic series to screen at the high-brow festival and the very first streaming show to be invited.

Loosely based on Kaling's own childhood, it will portray the modern-day life of a first generation Indian American teenage girl.

    Amazon has recruited a glitzy crew of Hollywood stars for its animated superhero show Invincible, based on the eponymous comic book co-created by The Walking Dead scribe Robert Kirkman. Leading the voice cast is TV's The Walking Dead alum Steven Yuen as protagonist Mark Grayson, who inherits his alien superhero father's almighty powers. Oscar-winner J.K. Simmons (Whiplash) will play the dad, while Sandra Oh (Killing Eve), Seth Rogen (who's reportedly working on an Invincible film adaptation), and Zazie Beetz (Deadpool 2) will also lend their oratory skills to the upcoming series.
