    For many, Lucasfilm Games conjures up some fuzzy feels. It's been a while since Lucasfilm was associated with video games, though. "Lucasfilm Games is now the official identity for all gaming titles from Lucasfilm, a name that encompasses the company's rich catalog of video games and its eye toward the future," a post on starwars.com explains.

  • Drone Racing League embraces sports betting in partnership with DraftKings

    Since the dawn of the drone era, enterprising pilots and enthusiasts have found ways to make money off their passion for flying. Thanks to a new partnership between the Drone Racing League and DraftKings, though, gamblers can now make money off of other people's passion for flying. While DraftKings can legally operate its daily fantasy sports business in 43 states, the company stresses that betting on drone races is currently only legal in Colorado, New Hampshire, West Virginia, Tennessee and New Jersey.

  • TCL's NXTPAPER color paper-like screen arrives on a real tablet

    Last year, TCL announced its intriguing NXTPAPER technology that was not only a full color paper-like display, but was also capable of playing video at relatively high frame rates. Now, at CES 2021, it's finally ready to unveil the creatively named TCL NXTPAPER — an 8.88-inch Android tablet with the new screen. The tablet itself weighs 310 grams, which is lighter than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (363 grams) and the 2019 Galaxy Tab A 8-inch (320 grams).

  • Intel Evo Chromebooks will feature Thunderbolt

    Intel normally doesn't have much dedicated hardware for Chromebooks at CES, but this year it announced some intriguing tidbits. First, the company revealed that Chromebooks are coming with Intel Evo branding, its new name for refined Project Athena machines. Those will also be the first Chromebooks to include Thunderbolt support, allowing them to support faster external hard drives and other accessories.

  • Reachy the robot can now be controlled via VR

    Last year at CES French startup Pollen Robotics debuted Reachy, an open-source humanoid robot (the top half of one at least) capable of performing a wide variety of tasks — from traditional R&D to product demonstrations and food service. This year, Reachy is back and more capable than ever before. Rather than program in Reachy's movements, users can now control the robot directly simply by donning a VR headset.
